"Cig-a-likes" are definitely more aesthetically pleasing, as baditude said. Most of us start there. It was hard for me to make the transition to Egos, but after my experience with Blu i wanted "better than Blu." There are some similar devices with marginal improvements, but really to get a vape that most find satisfying I'd go MVP2. 101vape.com has them for $43 shipped.

Whatever it was that I was looking for initially, I knew that it had to keep my interest in vaping and away from the nails.

Ultimately, if your vaping gear fails to satisfy your nic urges, you will most likely end up back where you started. These boards have witnessed this process many times over.

Welcome!
I tried the blu and could not get satisfaction from them, though I really liked the vanilla flavor. I was a 2 pad smoker, just didn't get me my kick. I bought a kanger evod which was a pretty reasonable price and performs well, and you will probably spend less after the initial cost of startup. The carto's can get expensive after a while, I never thought the blu was worth the price, but it may work for a light smoker.

I tried the Blu when I first started too. The Cherry Crush was my favorite! I bought the kit with the cherry carts. It worked but the charging case died after about 3 weeks. I then got and EVOD starter kit of eBay for less than the Blu kit. ($29.00 I think) and was more satisfied with that as a switch to quit!

Thanks everyone for your opinions and input, they are much appreciated. Like I said I only smoke 12-14 cigs a day and those are ultra lights so I'm probably on the light smoker end of things. I actually am liking the blu tobacco flavor in low nicotine level. After speaking with blu's customer service they said if I take 10 drags of a traditional cig then I should take 12-14 drags off a blu to equal the nicotine level with the low cartridge. Im going to experiment with that and hopefully have a good transition away from traditional cigs. Wish me luck! ha.

Good luck man. I started with the Blu disposable and upgraded to the starter pack. At the time I was smoking 6-8 camel lights a day. I got the "high" (18) Blu carts and never really got satisfaction but it certainly helped with the routine aspect. Found myself puffing on the Blu for awhile then lighting up anyway.

That was at least a year ago. Kept smoking cigs and using the Blu to lower the amount of cigs. Then the Blu charging pack died on me. I got an e-go kit 6 months ago or so. Upgraded to an evod tank after a month. Broke that, got an Aerotank. Upgraded battery to a 18650 mech mod a month ago. NOW I'm on day #11 without a cigarette. It took me awhile to get there with vaping (and no cigs) but I'm very happy now. Just looking for that next upgrade. It's still an addiction, just a different, more physically healthy kind. :)
