Ok I know many don't like blu e cigs. I tried it and like them and being able to purchase them locally is a big plus to me. Anyways I was hoping I could get some advice from you guys. I smoke Marlboro ultra lights currently and I smoke 1 a hour (less than a pack a day). For numerous reasons I want to switch to blu to get off analogs completely. What strength cartridge should I use? Low? Also when I smoke a analog I take 10 inhales, would I be right in assuming 10 inhales from a blu would especially equal the same as 1 cigarette? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

sorry can't help you, Ed and I had one of those blu things somewhere around the house and after ten minutes on one of those I just wanted a ciggie.

but if you like it...
it'd depend on how much you were smoking to start out with, I was a 2PAD so with ejuice I went 24mg, weaned down to a 12mg and 6mg alternating.

There's no easy answer for this, for many reasons. There's no cut & dry conversion for nicotine in smoke vs nicotine in vapor. I don't believe Blu publishes what mg nicotine is in their various cartridges, so no one knows the nic strength in the low, med, high, or extra high cartidges.

If you were to use a legitimate advanced personal vaporizer from a vapor shop, you could use the following:

06 mg = 10 cigs or less a day.
12 mg = 20 cigs a day.

18 mg = 30 cigs a day.
24 mg = 40 cigs a day.

If you've tried Blu and liked them, more power to you. Just understand there are much better products at a much cheaper price than Blu.

Definitely try the medium. The Blu puts out good vapor for its size but not a very equal nic content compared to a cigarette. I would say of you want to keep with the 10 puffs an hour go with the medium or high. It takes three times as many vapor puffs to make the equivalent of smoke puffs nic wise. I would rather try the carts too high and take three puffs than too low and have to smoke.

Nice, thank you so for the info. So if I did go with the low (which is what I have now) would it be best to payment try replacing a cigarette with maybe 15 puffs from the blu or more? Sorry for all the dumb questions I'm a total newb.

It's different for everyone. Some people are able to quit cold turkey when they start vaping, able to put down cigarettes completely from day one. Others, like myself, made the transition within a few days, using the e-cig regularly and reserving the cigarette for moments of strong cravings. Still others take weeks to months for a complete transition from cigs to vaping exclusively.

Don't over-think this thing. Its not that complex. Just vape as much as you feel you need to. Your body will tell you if you are vaping too much or the nic level is too much or too little.

Vape until you get the satisfaction you are looking for. as for how many puffs, thats different for everyone.
Blu got me to quit, but I'm stubborn like that. I quit Blu after about 2 months because its such a hassle swaping batteries and cartos all the time.

Many people these days find alot of success with Ego style batteries with a decent tank on it. Kanger EVOD kits seem to get a lot of decent reviews, but there are tons out there and plenty of good ones. Just know what you are buying before you buy it. YouTube reviews are very helpful!

My #1 recommendation for new hardware is an MVP2.0 with a Nautilus Mini (BVC) Tank. For a cheaper tank I usually recommend the ProTank3 with the aero tank heads. A lot of people have started there and enjoy the vape quality.

Either way (Ego/MVP2) most find these devices give off a much more satisfying vape. If you enjoy the Blu flavors, I believe they are made by Johnson Creek (I know they used to be a year or so ago, not sure if Blu has switched eliquid manufactures). Though those flavors are "unique" to blu, I'm sure they have something comparable in their line of juices.

I tried blu to get off smoking but what finally got me off cigarettes comfortably and painlessly was a ego type e cigarette and tank of 24 mg nicotine e juice. I've long graduated from the ego to a different device with a lot more power but in the very beginning that's what it took to get me off cigarettes. It was a LOT less expensive than those blu carts that never lasted. I'll put it this way, I was spending about 15 dollars for one pack of blu cartridges and when I switched over to the ego I was only spending 6 dollars for a big bottle of ejuice that lasted weeks!! For me, blu was nothing but frustrations. The batteries didn't last (a good ego battery lasts all day) I couldn't get enough vapor out of the blu, I actually gave myself a sore throat trying to get more vapor and a throat hit. This was no problem for the ego. The cartridges of blue hardly held any liquid and would get used up so quickly. (The ego tanks held 3 to4 ml of liquid plenty to last. I had massive cravings with the blu. With the ego I was able to actually comfortably quit with minimum cravings on the ego and I've stayed quit. I wanted to share my story to let you know their is a far less expensive and much more satisfying way to quit. With the least amount of discomfort.so if blu isn't working well with you, please know you have many many options that are much better than blu available to you at a much lower cost. If your intrested a good starter ego type is the vision spinner2 with a tank like a protank. You should google it and see what you think. Hope this is helpful. Best wishes

I don't believe you can ever equate puffs on a cigarette with puffs from an ecig, they're totally different things. Your best strategy is to pick up a Blu whenever you feel the need for a cigarette, and to give yourself the best chance of getting some nicotine from it the highest strength is likely to be best. Hope it works for you, I really do.

Hello, jhy . . . Welcome to the ECF boards.

I started my vaping journey with a BLu disposable, which I found less than satisfying. I moved onto a Blu kit with its rechargeable box and separate cartridges. Although a bit lacking, as well, the said afforded me some 2 to 3 smoke free weeks, until I found the Joy eGo devices.

Armed with a handful of eGo devices, I quickly found these ECF boards. Within a couple of weeks, I purchased my first ProVari Mini. Thus, began a fantastic vaping journey, which will see no end.

:thumb: This! I know the oP wants something that's the size of a cigarette and has the appearance of a cigarette. Been there, done that myself.

But I can almost guarantee that within a month's time you'll be sick of the poor battery life of the Blu and similar type e-cigs. The bigger the battery, the better the vape. There will come a point in time for when "looks" and "feel" go out the window in place of "this vapes like or better than a cigarette" performance.

I would puff till I felt like I had reached satisfaction. You can't really put a Puff allowance on yourself. It will either feel right or it won't.

When I know that my nic needs are met and simply wish to vape for the sake of vaping, I use a 0mg mix.

The hand to mouth routine is a tough one to beat after some 35+ years of smoking the dreaded nails.

I started vaping on Blu's but found out that

the batteries last a couple to a few weeks before dying
the cartridges are expensive ( avg cost 3$ each 5 for 15$)
about 40% of the cartridges were dry/non functional due to bad coils or no juice
the nicotine levels were lower than what I required ( even at the hi strength)
the coils would burn out ( break) quickly

In ones life of becoming mobile
Blu is the tricycle
Egos the Bicycle
18650 VV/VW the motorcycle/small car
Mech Mods the pumped up mustang
scary box mods running 300W the out of control Lamborghini :)
