Okay, for a long time now I have been interested in purchasing an electronic cig. The first time I saw a blu I thought "OMG I want one!". Now a few years later as well as a few failed quitting attempts I am giving in and purchasing an e-cig. What I want from you is your opinion on my shopping list. By that I mean if I need to adjust a quantity of anything or brand let me no. The list is as follows.

1 Sidesho Select Kit containing - 1 auto battery and 1 manual battery - 2 atomizers - 1 PCC and ten flavor cartridges.

1 pack of 5 blank cartomizers.

1 Drip Tip

1 extra atomizer (I feel like I need at least 3 atomizers + some catomizers) - Or should I buy the SS attomizer?

-- I also wan't to buy some liquid, My shopping cart currently has a 10ml 24mg cherry liquid in it -- But I wan't to know is that enough? Or is there another more trusted (w/flavors) website that has good prices or decent sampler packs?

This list adds up to a little over a hundred bucks and i'm fine with that but for that same reason I want some feedback. Suggestions like "forget the cartomizers and buy a crap load of blank cartriges" or ANYTHING at all is completely welcome! Thanks a Bunch guys!

Welcome to the forum. My first recommendation is giong to be to make sure you check the coupon code master list before buying. According to the list, "20ecf" will get you 20% off at Modern Vapor. I can't personally vouch for that particular kit, but your choice seems okay. You may want to get a little more juice and possibly in a lower nic, depending on how much you smoked.

Looks to be a nice 510 starter kit (that's the model and thread size) a tad expensive, but lots of different colors. Knowing what the actual model is will alllow you to buy parts at any supplier that carries 510's (just about anywhere)
If you don't care about color, MadVapes has a "Model-T" 510
(any color you want as long as it's black :) ) same model as the Sidesho in actuality.
510 PCC KIT
They carry a good variety of nicotine juice also, along with spare parts at a good price.
Don't work there just a very satisfied customer.

and what keyzygirl said, Get some more liquid, in sample sizes until you find what you like.

If you are looking for a 510, I highly recommend an ego from Liberty flights, or the Riva (really the same thing for $10 less) They will also have attys and cartos.

The ego will give you 3 times the battery life of a standard 510.

I personally like the Low Resistance Attys 2.0 to 2.5 ohms, and boge Low resistance Cartomizers, also sold there. Plus their warranty rocks.

My favorite juice vendor is Kick Bass Vapor. Everyone likes different vendors but the main ones are: (in addition to my favorite)

Tasty Vapor
Freedom Smokes USA
Backwoods Brew
Vapor Bomb

I have tried them all, and many more, and these are the most popular vendors that many love. I only buy from BWB and Kick Bass at this point.

......everybody talks about the 510's but where on earth do I find like the "real" one. They seem to be sold by a million different vendors - different prices, and some look different.

510 is the thread size on the ends of the battery and atomiser, they are all made in China, some vendors just give them fancy names and fancy prices.

Another FNG here. I just finished posting this on another thread, so I copied & pasted it here for you. Keep in mind that I haven't received it yet, and I have no previous experience with vaping.

If someone hasn't already mentioned it, the first reply that I got to my first post on ECF directed me to the six "Wonderful World of Vaping" articles, in http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-library/

After a lot of reading, some advice from a friend (who also recommended the above articles), and looking at what seemed like hundreds of sites, here is what I just ordered from Liberty Flights as my starting point:
Steel Riva 510 - SE Edition
510 LR Atomizers - 5 pack
EGO 650mah passthru
510 blank cartridges - 2 x 5packs
Boge 510 2.0 Ohm Cartomizer - 2 x 5packs
6 vg & 6 pg 5ml juice samples

Total came to ~$130, including shipping, after the 20% ECF discount code

I filled out quite a few shopping carts on other sites, and the totals were $150 to $200 on nearly all of them, without the passthru or juices.

I'll agree with more juice. I always figure on going through 25 - 30ml a week, some people got through more, some less. Get a few different flavors in sample sizes that way if you don't like one you have others to fall back on. I'm not familiar with that particular kit so I can't give an opinion on it but with the small batteries, I would say may get one extra. I have four in rotation.

You would be making the same mistake you made with Blu - buying a super-mini. Slidesho is not a great choice. I believe it is a modified M402 or M401, modified in a way that you would be stuck buying everything from them. Unless you are a sipping-type ultralights smoker with immense patience for tiny carts, this is not the model for you. I started on M401/402 and within 4 weeks I bought 2 stronger ecigs (the two most popular - Joye 510 and a Vapor4Life which is KR808D-1, both with manual batteries)

IMO Get a 510 with manual batteries or a KR808D-1/Vapor4Life with manual batteries. I thought Volcanocigs Magma would be good but they don't seem to offer a kit w/ manual batteries so their PCC may not work with them. I know NoSmokeVA has 510 starter kits with a very nice cig-pack look PCC that has a lot of room and you can get a manual kit. I use their PCC and manual 510's with cartomizers. I prefer the longer mega xl manual batteries for 510 and use those at home but the only PCC for them is the non-roomy sharp metal Joye PCC.

And take a look a Vapor4Life.com for the KR808D-1 (they sell it in colors as their VaporKing)

Whatever you buy, buy e-liquid - you will be refilling whatever you get.

Most people here use and recommend manual batteries. Autos are dependent on a drag sensor in the threaded end and can be killed much more easily by a juice leak. Autos can turn on accidentally from wind or vibration. And I think manuals are less work - no extra drags to warm up the atty - just press the button earlier.

Oh how I love populated forums, I had seen the coupon list before but thanks for reminding me. brandon555 everybody talks about the 510's but where on earth do I find like the "real" one. They seem to be sold by a million different vendors - different prices, and some look different.

Liberty Flights. Riva 510 (ego) $29.00 get a couple boxes of cartomizers. 510 batteries only last a couple hours. 6 month warranty.

Yes, no one gets much love for recommending a mod. Why I have no idea! For the money you are spending, I would get a reo, or if that's too high, there are so many choices.

So many say they are complicated to start with but they are no more complicated than an ego system, unless you get a ggts mod. I started with a sidsho, 902, Lux ( basically an ego battery) then to a ggtb and now a Darwin. I would have saved Sooo much money if someone told me to go straight to a vv mod. Jmho.
