New guy, proudly smoke free since June 23, 2011

Hi everyone,
I tried my first e cig on June 23, 2011 and have not touched an analog since. I bought a disposable 21st Century Smoke regular and a menthol. I was never a menthol smoker, but menthol vapor is for me. the regular tastes good, but not like i wanted at first. I have since found that my taste and smell have come back and I don't want that taste anymore. Chocolate Mint Chip from ECBlend is my favorite flavor so far.

I smoked for about 17 years and became a heavy smoker, around 2 packs of Mboro Reds a day. I needed battery life and TH!!! I have since hacked away at my batteries and built my own mods and pass-throughs (much, much more satisfying for me than stalking my mail-lady.) Building my mods also helps keep my mind occupied, which helps me a lot with quitting smoking.

I have a friend who sells 21st Century Smoke cartos at his store they taste good and vape great. He gives me a good deal and i refill them many times. I was shocked to find they vape better after being refilled as they are marketed as disposables.

I know the brand i use isn't popular or interchangeable, but i bless this company for getting me off Philip Morris' crack-sticks. It also helps that I can get them locally in emergency situations.

Nice. I also started with 21st century smoke. I didn't have as much luck with them as you have and have since upgraded. Still have 1 batt that still works and am keeping it for a backup. The juice in the prefilled carts had a taste to them I found rather nasty but was easily enough removed with a bicycle pump, but the carts do work ok for refilling. Congrats on getting off the smokes.

Thanks! I definitely do not like carts. The taste was awful, vape time insufficient. The cartos however, taste much better. My friend sells the "Express Kit" rather than the "Starter kit," due to the inclusion of cartomizers as opposed to the 2 piece cart/atty. The downside is more $ and lack of USB charger, upside is better product. Oh well, I don't use their batteries anyway, and he actually uses one of my mods.

Thanks so much! Every bit of support helps. I knew I had made the right choice from the beginning. I'm a nerd at heart, so the first one I had in my hand I was already thinking about what it looked like inside and how I could make it better. When I got the first one disassembled, it looked just like I had expected and I knew just what I wanted to do with it. Situation out of control.

Oh well, it was a health and overall image decision, not a $ one. I don't want to stink all the time, or have yellow, unhealthy teeth, or lung cancer. I could go totally bonkers with this and that's okay with me. I am absolutely enjoying being smoke free!
