I would like to say hello to all!

So I finally did some reading on the forums and found that I did what so many new vapors did. Bought into some expensive eCig. I bought a green smoke starter pack that I recieved yesterday and well, wish I had found this forum before I had ordered it. But I am still within my 30 days to return it. So I basically have narrowed it down too a couple models I am intersted in. The Inferno T, and the GLV-2.

My big concern is how much vape I will produce as that has always been what I liked about smoking analogs. The tank system is an interesting concept and with the inferno t it seems like it is an easy setup as opposed to dripping. I have noticed that a lot of members prefer drip/tank systems as opposed to the cartomizer system that I see the glv-2 has.

So my question is what should I go with? The lack of reviews on the Inferno T is a bit of a turn off for me, as there are plenty of video's on the glv-2, and I also want something that I am not getting now with the GS which is FLAVOR...I was so disappointed by the lack of flavor with them, and have already ordered some ejuice's from Ms T's as I thought about refilling the cartomizer on the GS with it, but then realized that I could be doing so much better with a different device. So what do you all think? I never realized how huge vaping was until today...

thank you for reading my great wall o text!

Grats on the switch! You'll find a LOT of help here. :)

The Inferno-T is basically a rebranded Ego-T. I use an ego, and I love it. Have never tried the tank system though, however most of the reviews I've seen on it are quite good.

The GLV is one of my "wants" lol. It's not just a carto system though- you can put any 510 atty on it as well, so you can drip or use carts as well as cartos.

The Riva (another ego clone) can be purchased from Liberty Flights for $30 (be sure to click the 20% off button on top) and $3 shipping, and this is what most of the people I've converted have gotten.

AnthonmX, If flavor is your thing the eGo-T is lacking in that department. You'd be better off getting the eGo batteries and some cartomizers (try regular and LR-low resistance) to get started. Then you can sample juices until you find something you like. An atomizer and cart like the ego mega ones could also be a good option if you don't think you'll like cartomizers.

The eGo-t needs clear very strong juices because the vapor travels through chambers of plastic in a whistle tip. If you are fine with menthol it may work for you. Also it is hit or miss if you get a non-leaker, so you probably don't need the stress if you just started vaping. A version 3 is due out soon, you can always get it when it is perfected a bit.

Kr-808D1 systems similar to greensmoke are another alternative. Cartomizers can be bought prefilled in 74 flavors at Vapor4life or you can buy blanks and fill them with your choice of flavors. That system has good flavor but smaller batteries that need to be switch out often. You can also get a KR808D1 5V USB passthru to use in your car, by your computer, or any wall outlet. That has great flavor. Check out Vapor4life to see what they sell for KR-808D1 systems. Other vendors sell it as well but try to stay with forum vendors for good service and prices.

wow impressed at the speed of responses! Thank you!! I am looking at the ego t right now. This is to damn difficult deciding lol.

Hey AnthomX I think I can offer some advice, and welcome to the forum. I'm actually looking into an eGo/eGo-T setup as well. From what I've read, though not had the chance to try, is that the new Tank system is prefered to the cartos. But after vaping for a while you will want to be able to drip as you get the most flavor, and best throat hit.

After checking out the GLV2 I highly recomend you go with the eGo. Since the Riva is basically an eGo, I recomend you get the Riva 510 starter pack (link: Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510). I've heard it's the cheapest around. even though neither of the starter packs come with carts, there will be a mouth piece with each atty you order. I recomend the 510 because, you can easily drip with 510 attys.

If you are the kind of person who is at a pc alot, you may want to invest in a Joye eGo passthrough batt. It works as a normal eGo batt and a passthrough when take the threaded cap off the end and plug it into the pc. (This is what I'm looking into anyway).

Back to your post though, if you really like the Inferno-T kit I really think you'll like it (I love the bag included). I've heard good things about this company and know a few people who use the Inferno. I would recomend that you get that you invest in the cisco atty on the site and a drip tip. Then you will be able to do both drip and use the tank system.

As for the juice, I highly recomened Backwoods Brew (backwoodsbrew.net). All of Don's juices are great, and come highly recomended. Look up Backwoods Brew and you won't find a single bad review. His site should be back up tomarrow, he's had a flood of orders and is catching up today.

I hope this helps, I've wrote alot. I'll stop at this and post back again if there is somthing I've missed.

Edit: I posted this and read what Juicejunky had to say, and I would have to ask you not to doubt the flavor possibilty of the eGo. Yes the flavor is going to be a tad muted, but this is the reason I highly recomend in getting a 510 atty or in the Inferno's case (from whats available on the site) the cisco atty, so you can drip. Dripping is the best way to get the flavor out of your juice. This comes simply from my experience with e-cigs, and 3.7v attys.

Edit: I do agree that you should invest in some LR attys, I love them.

the site is down right now to catch up on orders, how long is the turn around on orders? it says they would be back open on the 9th, im already almost two and a half hours into the 10th. not too encouraging but i'll check back later today

i am also looking at the GLV 2. as my second mod. right now i use a PureSmoker prodigy V3.1 at six volts

I've been using pvs for about a year; started with a basic 510 with carts. In my search for better flavor I moved on to dripping the basic atty, that was better, but it was still lacking a bit. I just got my eGo today, and it has really blown away the base model 510. I'm using the mega atty with a drip tip. It's closer to the flavor profile of a hooka then an analog, imo. I'd suggest it, hands down, for starting out.

Now, if you don't like the idea of dripping, (it can be messy if over done, damned dangerous if you are driving, or look odd in public) then maybe try out some cartomizers. I'm pretty happy with the ease of use and flavor I get from just my basic 510 batt and a carto. It's not perfect, but it's safer while I drive, easier to store at work, and less odd looking at the team smoke breaks.

Anyway, it's always YYMV; I suggest the eGo/riva, it gives you a good run of options to find your "sweet spot".

Those Cisco atomizers look cool. I want one. I've never shopped at Volcano before, thanks, I enjoyed looking around. Good prices, They seem to be out of stock on a lot of things. I'd recommend a box of cartomizers just to try them, but they are out. Chinese New Year should be over pretty soon.

Lol got you into looking at them I see. I wondered why they were out of stock on so much, Chinese New Year makes sense.

I am definitely interested in trying dripping, one of the big reasons I liked what I picked, I know it is an eGo knockoff but I hope like hell it is good...

Congrats on your switch to PV's!!! I have tried every single combo (carts, cartos, drip tips, blue foam mods, etc.) and dripping is by far my favorite. It's just so damn easy, and you get great flavor and throat hit!!!! I'm using an Ego 900Mah battery, which I found makes a huge difference. I tried the 510's and a 650Mah Ego, but the 900 just really hits the spot. Hope you find what works for you soon. It appears to be different for everyone.)

Thank you! and that is what I have really noticed. That is what has made choosing a device so difficult. But the members on here are awesome I am finding out, I never expected to get this much help, this quick.

So it is final, I ordered the Inferno T, racked up my charges too $130 after a %10 percent coupon. Now I am eagerly awaiting for its arrival. Fortunately I have the GS to tide me over until then. And a new forum to frequent.

Hopefully I can get away with this in the hospital. I have seen one or two running around with the slims. Thought it was interesting.

Oh and congrats on hitting your 3 month mark! I have been on again off again for the last 2 years, trying everything and wound up using snuff and smoking. Tried to use snuff since I hate it with a passion, and that plan backfired. I must admit the GS has been helping quite a bit, though I have my times throughout the day were I feel almost anxious, lungs get tight and I get pissy. Should have never picked up nicotine.
