Your Sony batteries will be fine in an evic... I have an evic and it basically sits.. ive broken/replaced the control head, upgraded to full SS body, etc... But I still don't manage to use it much. The obvious VV recommendation is a Provari... But many around here are avid Innokin MVP fans... and at the price they ask, i can certainly see why. That's probably a decent place to start with regard to VV. I haven't owned an MVP so can't say first hand... but I know that they are very popular, so I imagine they live up to their hype. I had a Provari and I can certainly say that they live up to their hype as well.

Thanks, not a huge fan of how the MVP looks to be honest...are the Smok VMax or SID's any good?

I have an elderly SID (year old). The fire button has been flakey from day one and I have to fiddle with the center pin in the 510 connection when I change tanks. That said, it has been dropped lots of times, gotten generally abused and works fine (with quirks that have been there since day one but never have gotten worse).

I bought it used six months ago. it came with 2 good Panasonic batteries and an Efest LUC charger for $30. It has been a faithful device.
