That is one Fancy Cartomizer setup

Could be the Coil or the applied power or your liquids of choice. I have noticed differences in Flavor perception on every style Pre-built tank I have ever used. Same flavor has taste differences on every single one. Some good, some okay and some - just plain nasty.

Once I started building. I found Most better designed tanks will give similar results.(Most, not all) Same with rda's

I'd suggest passing this unit along to someone in need and purchasing something with more flexibility.

Best of luck
:)

The fact is nobody has used every piece of hardware out there, so the best advice they can give you is to relay their own limited experiences. When somebody says "X and such setup is the best flavor ever" it really only means it's the best they have tried in their opinion. In the end, you will need to spend some time and some money and some frustration to find out what works best for you. Don't get discouraged. Trek on and discover your own dream vape!

Also, you might want to try varying your power level. Juices can have varying flavors depending on how hot you vape them. I find I get the best flavor out of most juices on the lower end of the power spectrum, but your mileage will vary depending on your taste buds and your equipment. Again, don't lose the faith! Keep trying and you'll find it!

Remember, the alternative is abandoning your quest and admitting defeat to your arch-nemesis: the stinkies!

For the past 8 months, my main vape has been kangertech VV batteries with an Evod Glass tank. I've been using both single coils and double coils in the tank, and I prefer the single coils, as I find that it vapes better and has a better taste. I've been using 1.8 & 2.2 single coils and 1.5 dual coils.

That set up has been working for me, but I decided to try something new just for the hell of it, and I bought an Endura T22 which I recently received.

It puts out 14 watts, and it uses a 1.5 coil. I easily get a lot of vape out of it, but for some reason, the same premium juices that I vaped on my previous setup just do not taste as good in my Endura T22. I'm kind of disappointed, since I read numerous places about how the taste was supposed to be so great.

Could it be that the new setup is more powerful than what I used before, and that is affecting the taste so much?

Could it be that I am just so used to low wattage vaping, that even a 14 watt unit is too much for me?

Different atomizer types will give you different flavor from the same juice. You've switched from a clearomizer tank to something that looks to me sort'a like a cartomizer tank. I expect these two to give you a different vape experience and you're used to and like the flavor you had from the clearo.

If I were you I would start with the watts around 10 and slowly move up until you get the best vape you can from this hardware and a given juice. Give it at least 10 minutes of vaping at a given wattage before you change it just to give yourself some time to really experience the vape. With lower power you'll probably need to take longer and slower drags to get the full benefit of the lower power and the best flavor. This alone can have a big impact on your vape with any atomizer.

Also make sure you have the head pretty saturated before you start vaping. With that style head I prime the wicking through the holes in the head at least a bit before I install one. If you do this too much you could get it flooded but it should not be badly flooded and should be easy enough to clear out by just vaping with slow drags at higher watts until it clears.

Best of luck with it :thumb:

Thanks for all of the informative replies.

I've only had the gear for a few days, and I have an extra 5 pack of coils, so I will keep using it for a bit, and see if something were to change, when I try switching out the coil.

It seems like a good unit, I like the look of it, it seems well built, I like the 2000 mA battery, which lasts for quite a while, and the 4 ML tank is much bigger than anything that I've ever had before. Besides the taste, I only have good things to say about the unit. However, taste is pretty important of course.

For the people suggesting that I start at a lower wattage, unfortunately the Endura T18 and T22 are both locked to a constant 14 watts I believe, and perhaps that setting is just not right for the juice that I have.

There's plenty of different types of vape gear out there, so if this one turns out to be not for me, then I have a gazillion other options.

I'll tell you a 'secret' about personal reviews........... People who have shelled out their money on a hyped device have an uncanny ability to delude themselves. It's not easy admitting you were taken in by the bling.
I've used every type of device and topper and regurlarly go back to a Kayfun on a 15w tube mod. It's what works for me. Higher power stuff is ok but i always feel the flavour changes. not better or worse, just different.
What you have found is the difference in airflow, chamber size, coil size, wicking ability and power (IMO in that order) that changes a flavour. Time to experiment. :)

That's true. I've been chasing the perfect vape for a long time. I've tried the latest and greatest when I find the clones or originals on sale. I keep going back to the Kayfuns.

Adjustable air flow is what is takes to satisfy my vaping style with the newer tanks. Lemo 2 had that and I was able to adjust it to the perfect combination of vapor and air flow. It just was a little too fragile and had the tendency for the chamber to seize and require tools to break apart.

After gathering a bunch of tanks, coils and mods to fire them (and to play with) I'll eventually 'marry' a few of the set-ups until such time something new is bought and brought into the mix.

Currently sitting with me this AM is a Nautilus mounted on a Apollo Reliant and a TFV4 mounted on a Boxer 26650. While both offer greatly different vaping styles both are giving me a satisfying vape. (for what they are)

While I would question in this day and age going with a fixed VOLT/WATT output device, (as it seems rather limiting), it might take a few days or weeks to decide if a new tank/atomizer is right for you. During that time with enough experimentation you may find the "sweet spot" where the tank/atomizer gives the best flavor for you. It may surprise you what air flow and power setting is needed for this to happen.

In my humble experience they all have a 'sweet spot' which may (or not!) align with your style of vaping. At that point it is a personal decision to ether adapt to the new vaping style or toss it in the junk drawer and reload with something else new.
