My first cartridge with the "health" e-cog is spent and it wasn't totally unpleasant... :p towards the end it was downright mediocre but the battery might've been running a little low too.

Anyway, my Yeti 510 showed up today, along with some RedBull smoke juice from altsmoke.com so while I wait for it's initial 8-hour charge I filled the first spent "Health" cart with fresh juice--WOW! What a difference! The flavor is outstanding and the vapor was plentiful with a freshly charged battery:)

If the battery and Atty hold up this isn't a bad backup ecig, though my experience is next to nothing.

Now tomorrow morning I get to test the Yeti... Can't wait!

Does it worth to buy e-liquid for this one? or showld i throw it to garbage ... how do i drape the liquid into the atomizer because i tried that but it didnt worked so far ... it does the same ammount of vapour like the cartridge.

bump.. just wondering..seems like a cheap secondary pv
I recently purchased a Health e-cig pack. The quality is very poor. The atomizer is contaminated with glue. The cartridges hold a tiny amount of juice. It gets REALLY HOT after just two hits. I ordered a replacement battery and atomizer and it is better. Battery does not last long compared to other e-cigs. I think that covers the bad.

I'd like to know what flavor was in the cartridge in the replacement I bought, it tasted great with a honey like aftertaste.

By the way the cartridges have a foil seal that's broken by the atty when inserted. This makes the carts difficult to refill because the plastic is so thin it tends to melt a bit from the heat.

There is some good. The atomizer is high bridged and exposed so it works good for dipping. The vapor is excellent even though the draw is hard. Very pleasant if you limit to one or two hits then let it cool down. I think I read somewhere that it runs hotter to more closely emulate an analog cigarette. I think they went too far with the heat.

Already mentioned it gets HOT; It gets so hot that I could see the glow from the coil through the cartridge if I hit it too much. It burns the juice residue quite a bit so the atty needs cleaning more often than most to keep it tasting right.

The bottom line for me is that if I want a quick blast, dip a couple of drops, otherwise I'll keep it for emergencies only.

WOW..I am very pleasantly surprised! I ordered the Health E-cigarette from ebay for about 20 bucks total. Apparently it is a new "2009" model and its pretty damn good. It came with a wall, usb, and car charger..only 1 battery and 1 atty tho :( but.. for 20 bucks I recommend it as definitely a backup. Dripping works best and it actually produces quite a bit of vapor when I took the internal cart out and just dripped. I've only had it for 3 or 4 days, but no problems whatsoever..except battery life. Only lasts for like an hour. But for the price who cares. Now I'm anxiously awaiting my DSE901 from rockymountainvapor :D:D:thumb:

I have both of them. Bought them off lightinthebox.com for less than $11.
Walgreens is selling the newer ones here for $50 a pop. We call this extortion. Funny thing is, they're selling like hot cakes.

I have personally had no problem with mine, aside from the slightly poor airflow. But, that was an easy fix. As soon as I'm able to post threads, I'll put a tutorial on.

This afternoon I discovered that this little thing has one of the best designed cartridges I've ever encountered. Check it out:

Twist off the cartridge from the atomizer. Take a paper clip and stick it through the hole in the bottom of the cartridge. Up comes a little plastic piece and the filling. The plastic thing is shaped like a tulip vase and holds a pinch of aquarium polyester filter material.

Pull out that polyester piece. Easy to wash and rewet, or ... to use your own liquid, which is exactly what I've been doing now. I get much better taste and even better vapor with my homebrew stuff. The tulip vase piece is about the neatest arrangement I've ever seen. And it does a pretty good job of keeping liquid out of the mouth (but not completely on occasion).

Some time ago, I bought an entire bag of polyester filter material at a local pet store (find it near the fish aquariums). Dirt cheap stuff and it's used in some commercial cartridges. A tiny pinch of new filter could easily be stuffed into the plastic piece, soaked with fluid, and placed back in the cartridge. I've done this several times now. These cartridges appear to be endlessly resuseable!

Now, the question is how long will the atomizer last?

$17. Are you kidding. I've loving this.

BTW: Heavy use today; battery lasted only half a day.

I've been using an M401 for almost a month now, and ordered a few of these packs from dealextreme.com to try (and to give as gifts if I found they were even halfway decent - which they aren't). One interesting thing I found is that Tropical Bob's observation was spot on (as usual).

The inner cartridge (tulip-vase shaped) is an awesome replacement for the stock 401 piece. It rides a little higher than the OEM version, and was difficult to seat the cart to the atomizer all the way, so I had to shave about .5 mm to get it right (this also trims off all the foil). I replaced the cotton-ball filling with Fluval (common replacement filler - search the forums), and put in a straw mod (search the forums for this also, there are several references to this), and it's a fantastic upgrade. Since I'm not using the filler piece anyway when I dip (yes, dip, not drip), the cig makes a decent alternate to chain vape at my desk while my M401 is cooling down.

Although the eHealth and the M401 are thread compatible, the threaded part of the eHealth battery doesn't extend out as far as the M40x batteries. This means I can use the eHealth atomizer with my M401 batteries, but not the other way around. The eHealth case does charge my M401 batteries, but the eHealth atomizer doesn't work with my USB passthrough very well. I haven't spent the time to figure that out yet. All in all, well worth the price, imho, for a mediocre alternate and the cartridge upgrades. :thumb:

apparently taste isnt great...but the ecig itself seems to work ok,according to reports.

Hi, Darcy (and all) I just joined this forum today and this is my very first post! My wife's ex loaned us an NJoy he has to see if we might like the whole vaping thing. And I did! So I went to my tobacco shop and there on the shelves was the Health E-cig. Bought one. Nastiest thing I've put in my mouth for a very long time. Really, truly nasty. Because of their strange design, I really don't know how well dripping or refilling the carts would work, but first you'd have to empty a cart and I just can't bring myself to try. Uggh!

Hopefully it's not the juice.8-o
More likely it's the stuff they put on the atty to keep it moist. This stuff can REALLY taste nasty.
Remove the atty, and blow on the end that connects to the battery. BLOW HARD SEVERAL TIMES. Then reattach the atty and puff without inhaling a half dozen times. That should get rid of most of it---if not all. If it's not all gone, it will be soon.
If it doesn't go away, then it's the juice, you need to get another kind.

Okay, I gave it a try. Now the inside of my mouth is numb and tastes nasty, too. But I'll continue to try to salvage my investment. Anyhow, I have a dse on the way ... should have it by mid-week.
