That's my one hesitation as well. Really would rather it had an 18650 but thankfully at least it's not an 18350!
I think they may come out with a 650 body later.
Worst case, I'll sell/trade the HF and try the Tmod.

Good news is if you don't like the 18500 you will be able to trade for just about any squonker out there. Any collector of high end mods will want a first run Venon.

Been sitting there since the 26th. And still hasn't moved.
That's the one thing I dislike about buying from HF is the wait.
I wish they offered DHL like GP uses. 2 days from Bulgaria to VA was friggin sweet.
On the other hand the REO I shipped back to Rob for the new 510 last Saturday just arrived back home

If you read this thread you will see I won't buy it until it comes in 18650 - if it releases I will have one for sure.
I own other HF products so am more than willing to express my findings on their quality, which are unmatched IMHO. If you can provide another modder that uses higher quality materials and cleaner machining I'm willing to listen

The only problem with going to a 18650 in this mod you will be getting a longer mod and the beauty of this mod is it's smallness/size.
It has -----character-----being small and if you stick a 18650 in a mod like this you will get just another standard hand full of metal box like every one else has.

Can you tell me what the Venon is made out of? To assume others are using inferior materials is a little weak. One of my tmods is 7075 aluminum. Google it. Pretty high end stuff and the machining is flawless. The button can be adjusted however I like it. Right now, its almost a touch sensor. It's built to withstand builds as low as you care to build. As far as the HF products go....absolutely top of the line. The Venon is a beautiful mod and I hope to have one at some point. Is it the only mod made so well? No.
Considering this is a Hellfire thread I'm trying to understand why you insist on defending your prized Tmod.... It's a nice mod and should be discussed in the dedicated thread.

Read my posts, Scooter...how is asking you what the Venon is made out of not on topic? I figured you would know since you claimed these other mods are inferior in materials, craftsmanship.... every way except for price. Those are claims better made by someone who actually owns the mod...no?
I love the Venon too...I just don't see the point in bashing other products to make the point. I asked you what it was made out of....all you had to say was "I don't know."

Lol, thanks but I'm starting to get nervous. The status hasn't changed since it hit the KG post office this morning. It should have already been changed to "out for delivery".
Nothing yet. Damned mail lady wouldn't release the package to my 15 yr old but she gave her the mail and never checked the mailbox. So she never saw the signed note I left. Not happy!

I had an issue with one of my vipers and after a short discussion with Stella, she noted I should send it back in for Darren to check out. She also asked me if I would like to have my venom shipped back with the viper. I said....
Couldn't wait. Sat in the PO parking lot and fixed her up and vaped it for my hour and fifteen minute commute.
From 4.13v down to 3.8 in a little over an hour.
This little thing is awesome but I'm afraid 18490 may just be too weak.
Gonna try a little higher resistance coil tonight and see how it does.
