Hi Tazzie
I would wait for a few people to reply so you have a mix of opinions but my view is
You are struggling clearly and unless you get sorted quickly you are going to be reaching for a cigarette. When i have tried to quit in the past i have been exactly the same , my wife who is always 100% supportive has actually gone and bought cigarettes in the middle of the night as i am such a nightmare.
vaping solved all of that , none of the cravings as such ( its different) but you can break many of the old smoking habits just leaving the nicotine adiction to manage.
What i did was to get the highest strength i could take and
vape away until I got that one cigarette too many feeling , its not pleasant but killed the craving dead. 10 months on i still use the high strength but am able to switch to low/no nicotine flavours when i feel like it and am now using 14- 24mg instead of 36mg as the one i turn to when i need a hit. Now i can smell and taste again i am enjoying experimenting with flavours but still need a little nicotine hit but i have no cravings at all
or to completely turn this on its head , after 4 months you should be well past the nicotine dependancy therefore its all in your head(not that makes it any less real) . A low/zero dose may give you what you need.
Either way will do you less harm than living in a state of anxiety or going back to the cigs
