New Here! Real Cig vs E Cig When Drinking?

Hello everyone!

I'm a new guy here. Been vaping e cigs for 2 months now.

When I first landed on this forum, I saw a large number of people here raving about cartomizers and dse901.

I couldn't pick 1 over the other so I thought why not? and decided to try out both of them.


and...


I still can't pick one over the other haha They both have their strengths.

Actually, I carry around my KR808D-1 and the 901 is at home connected to a PT now. So... I'm glad I purchased both!

Now, a question here:

Which do you prefer? Real cig or e cig when drinking?

I gotta admit, I still light up a cig time to time. Being a heavy smoker before, it's not too easy for me as many would agree. But I AM trying to go 100% e cig someday!

I just find myself lighting up a cig after a few shots with my friends or while I'm drinking at a party.

But a few days ago I was drinkin at home, tried my e cig this time, and it wasnt so bad that's a good thing!

How about you guys? Does e cig feel just as good for you than a real cig?

I quit analogs 6 months ago and would not touch another one, yes I have been tempted, but I prefer the taste of my e-liquids to that of a analog.

Not smoking while drinking was fairly difficult at first, but then i noticed myself wanting my e-cig even when i was smoking. As long as i have vapor I don't want ciggs at all, even when I'm drinking.

I'm pretty new, but I wouldn't use a tobacco cigarette at this point. I think that part of it is getting used to the idea of standing out a bit more than you may want to. I felt weird to start with, first week or so, particularly at school. (I'm one of those adults returning to college you've read about) I had never seen one while I was on campus. Anyway, I just pretty much got over it and figured I didn't really care. Only comments that I've gotten are from people that want to know more about it. I've actually handed out a bunch of business cards from my favorite supplier.

I was just thinking, since I like to mix drinks often, I was wondering how cool it would be if there were alcoholic beverage flavored e liquids. This would easily allow me to be a 100% e cig vaporist.

They'd have to taste pretty darn similar though to some of the drinks we have here in US

If you look around, many suppliers offer liquor flavored juice. Whiskey, brandy, beer, absinthe, and many more!

There are a lot of liquor and drink flavored liquids out there. At this moment I'm using Amaretto Stone Sour. Pretty Tasty.. Lots of Whiskey flavors, and such too....

I drank this past weekend and never had the desire to fire up a real smoke. I was happy with a little vapor..

Always smoked way too much when I would drink. Probably felt worse in the morning from all the analogs than the alchohol. When I drink now I just use a good strong tobacco flavor and maybe up the nicotene a notch and this way I have no craving for an analog.

When I first switched, one of the first things i did was get drunk just to see if I could handle sticking with my PV while drinking. I had no problems at all and that's exactly the point I decided I would never smoke a tobacco cigarette again. I know that may be kind of a bad test to have to do. But I smoked WAY to much when I drank.

hmm dont think thats a bad test at all personally we all know the smoked to much last night syndrome after a night of drinkin'.

Surprised somebody asked this; I drank beer once at a bar and once at an NHL hockey game, and both times, the e-cig was perfect and preferred. I did NOT believe it would pass the "drinking" test, when your body reduces the inhibition that would normally keep your nicotine addiction in control. I told myself before I started, "This will never work, but it deserves to be tested." I had an absolutely, positively inseperable marriage to cigs, in the addiction and the psychology; i was FULLY prepared to die with a cig hanging out of my trach. hole when the time came.

There is a feeling when you quit smoking (I've quit twice, once for 8 weeks for basic trainng in the Air Force, and once for, ahem, 8 hours) and both times I felt like my best friend had just been kidnapped and killed. With the e-cig, although I'm currently bouncing back and forth because of the single-battery/charge thing, I know that I like e-cigs better than analogs. The drink test was the ultimate animal-to-cigarette test, and the e-cigs passed! Best of luck.

I like the 510 with tobacco flavors. I like the 901 with lighter flavors and menthol. I've never tried a cartomizer, someday I might. There is no one right answer. When I'm out and about I carry Revolver Elite, because it works well for that.

i haven't smoked a cigarette for about 2 months, and the first time i drank in that time period was 2 weekends ago. didn't even think about having a cigarette, and vaped in the bar, which was no smoking. so thats a plus in my book.

you SHOULD try the cartomizer!

if your talkin flavors, I think cartomizers are great for that

btw I don't like most of the alcoholic beverage flavored eliquids out there
