New here using Blu

Hi my name is Kitty, I'm 24, been smoking analogs for 9 years, and been vaping off and on for a year. I'm currently combo vaping/analogs and trying to cut down my current pack a day or Parliament Menthol Lights (the only analogs I can smoke that don't trigger my asthma. If I smoke any other brand/strength after half a pack I start needing my inhaler but vaping doesn't have me needing my inhaler so I want to do it exclusively eventually) (especially because here my cigs are almost $7 USD a pack -.- I sometimes have to skip meals to cover the cost and vaping will be a lot cheaper/healthier) Any advice that may help me get the most out of vaping so that I can kick analogs once and for all would be great!

I have been browsing on here for a few days and finally signed up last night.

So here it goes:

I have had my Blu for over a year and I saw a lot of the issues others have mentioned, and I went back to analogs after only a month. When my friend (who also uses blu) recently told me about the new cartomizers, I ordered some to check them out. I rather like the new cartos, but I think my batts are crapping out or maybe the PCC? IDK I am torn with what to do. I like the Blu (been looking at volcano, I like their PCC but I like the color scheme of Blu better) I like the feel and size of Blu and can get past the batt issues, but I'm trying to find the best solution to keep the l88B (i think thats what blu/volcano is or whatever the actual model is) because it works for me (sort of). Should I go to volcano or reorder a Blu kit? I prefer the look of the Blu, but I like the volcano PCC -.- does the volcano have a blue led? I suppose I can get wraps to further customize it.
As far as refilling should I refill cartomizers? If so how many times is too many? Or is it better to buy atomizers from volcano for my Blu (do they fit) and use blank carts/reuse old Blu carts I have. Ive been taking into account a lot of posts on here and I don't think the 510 or ego are for me. (though evolutionwrapz has a T-Rex kit in pink (its a 510 i think) that is cool, but again I like the Blu look feel and with new batts/PCC and JohnsonCreek liquids to refill i think I'll be fine.)
Really I want to know about cross compatibility between Blu/Volcano batts, PCC, and atomizers, and the best choice for refilling (blank carts with new atomizers or cartomizers and how many times i can safely refill Blu's new cartomizers)

Hi Kitty!
I started with a Blu, too. I still have it, because I think it's cute. Lithium ion batteries like to be kept charged up, and if they are run down all the way, they will gradually refuse to recharge fully.
Your carts for a Blu can be refilled, and I'm betting that the cartos can, too. "Too many times" to refill a carto is when it dies, and you can't bring it back. I refill cartos (and carts) for my other PVs constantly. Some people clean them out occasionally, but I am too lazy.
I've never used a Volcano, so someone else will have to tell you about that. Good luck on the never-ending quest for the perfect vape!

I still have my blu I refill the new carts have refilled easily 5 times still vapes ok.I use the blu for stealth vaping and main vape with vapor king..Like everybody says battery life short on the blu I still vape with the blu..

Also have a 510 thru cignot.com ..I ve settled with the standard vapor king manual button from v4L.com

If you like the blu case, etc you should look at the Black Cherry kit from donttouchmybutt.com. Their case (pcc) is about the same, batteries are a little larger but are 2x as powerful and their cartomizers have the best reviews I have found.

I am ordering the volcano USB pass thru tonight to go with my blu carts/cartos since i am almost always at my laptop. (plus its 12.95 so it'll hold me over while i decide on what to buy and let me use up my carts/cartos) Now to decide between the Volcano V-kit deluxe (just like the Blu kit) or the T-rex kit in pink (info below)

T-rex kit:
It is compatible with all 510 atomizers and cartomizers. The total length is around the same size as a Joye 510 but the battery is a bit larger in diameter of course.This unit can be compared with the Joye Ego or Janty Ego except the button does not glow, it has a ring around the battery that glows.

I have my blu and volcano starter kits still. Eventually I plan on putting them in the classifieds here. So I cannot recommend that you get either from my personal experience. I know that you stated that you enjoy your blu, but since you haven't been able to quit analogs completely while using it- I think you need to try a different model altogether.

Look up some reviews on some of the more popular models. Kr-8008, Ego-T, Riva, and Bloog. I've noticed that battery power has a lot to do with the flavor you receive and the overall enjoyment of your experience. The only reason I recommend another style is that I don't want you to make the same mistake I did. I bought from blu, volcano, revolver, greencig, smoke51 and I was completely disappointed with all of them. I realize now that it was because they were all similar models. They weren't strong enough and they did not perform well enough for me to give up analogs. From experience, the revolvers and volcanoes fit together. Blu's new cartomizer technology makes it unable to use cartridges (even with atties) from other models. Volcano's can smoke the blu cartridges, but at around $10 a 5 pack (of .5mls of juice each) it is not cost effective. Right now you can get quality juice from some of the best vendors for $15 for 30 ml. Which means you'd be paying $15 for enough e-liquid to refill 12 5 packs. As I stated before though, it was a pain for me to refill my blu.

I found happiness in the Ego-T kit with the 1000 mAh batteries. It is a little large, but it is around the size of a cigar and it looks sophisticated. I prefer it over all of the minis, the 510s, and the kr8008. My point isn't for you to go buy an Ego-T, but I do think that the popular brands on the forums are well established and great choices. I've never heard of that second model that you mentioned and I rarely see people become successful full time vapers with super mini models like the blu. Keep in mind that there are models out there that are larger than the blu, but still small enough to not be awkward if that is what you are looking for.

good choice on the T-REX not a bad pv at all and glad to see you move away from those blu's not bad, but there are so many pv's that cost less and are better than blu....I almost started with blu but cancelled my order at the last minute bc I found this place...........glad to see you made the chioce to stop the madness, and with a pv like the t-rex should be no problem for you......

OK so I just ordered a USB pass-through from volcano to fit my blu carts/cartos and a bottle of Arctic Menthol from Johnson Creek to refill them (for use at my comp and to not waste the carts/cartos) I am going to order the T-Rex Kit in Pink in a few days (hopefully) I have been researching and my biggest concern about leaving the l88B behind is not having a PCC. Though I think that it should be ok with the t-rex (which I guess is like an ego but with a working volt of up to 4.2 (not sure what that means?)) I found one on evolutionwrapz http://www.evolutionwrapz.com/Shopping/index.php/t-rex-kit-pink.html for $69.99 USD and that is what I am planning on.

A few quick questions though:
Is there a huge difference between the T-Rex and the Ego? What does the difference in working voltage mean?
Has anyone seen the T-Rex Kit (or Ego kit comparable to the one I linked if there isn't a huge difference between t-rex/ego) for less than 69.99?
It HAS to be Pink though ^.^ I have a lot of pink things including but not limited to a pink AK-47 gemmed belly button ring (not a real gun obviously lol) and a pink Taurus 24/7 pro ds compact .40 semi automatic pistol(this one is the real gun lol) with pink eye and ear protection a pink camo case heck even pink gloves to clean it after the range so I dont mess up my nails hehe
I have a thing for pink (and Hello Kitty but thats a whole different issue lol)
