Hey guys I'm new to vape. I am heading to my local vape shop this afternoon to see what I want to get! Anything in particular I should look for in a good vape? I want something that will be durable enough to carry around in my pocket all day and not break. Also how much do you guys think it will cost all in all to get an okay battery and tanks and some juce? Any suggestions would be appreciated! Anything else I should get?

Welcome to ECF. You will have to be more specific on what type of vaping you do? Mech mod? Of the shelf units? What's your local? If I want something harder to break I'd go with mech mods but they can be bulky and not pocket friendly. I would suggest a little mech clone to start and you tube for info on rebuilding and so on. Enjoy you stay

Welcome to the ECF. I'd just go to the vape shop and see what they recommend. Don't but too many initially, but make sure you get a spare of everything. :) Vision Spinner, or Ego Twist for a battery, Vivi Nova or Mini Protank 2 for a clearomizer, and sample a lot of juices to get a handle on what you want.

In my opinion, the best choice you can make is the B&M your going to patronize. I tried several before I settled on the store I use. I'm sure I spend too much time at the juice bar looking for the perfect vape, but they don't seem to mind. Oh, and to answer your question, I got a VV and an Aspire BDC. With juice cost me ~$65.
Have a nice day.

Morning Frenchy,
I am one of the people that like to go to the store and finger their wares and then go home and purchase what I want online. But I haven't found the internet to be significantly cheaper then I can get stuff in the B&M.
I do love my MVP and I love my VV. They have different purposes, the MVP lives on my desk and the VV travels well in the pocket. Same vape as far as I can tell.
Have a nice day.

I might have jumped a gun suggesting mech mods but like other have said, go with something of the shelf, find local vapers and try different things out till u find your preference. Cheers

I always recommend the stuff I know about too... I will be contacting you personally when I get a mech! :toast:

I wish you luck. 80% of shops will "see you right"
20% will take you for every $$$ they can and sell you poor kit.

Start with a eGo battery kit.

Welcome. You did the right thing askin opinions here before your first purchase. My B&M sells double ego kits for 35 bucks. You get 2 tanks for the juice, 2 batteries and a charger. A lot of people here start out with a standard kit and end up spendin about 40 or 50 bucks initially. You can go this route and upgrade later and still keep these for backup or just to have different flavors in them for switchin flavors easily. But, one option I would recommend that you wouldn't regret is a $40 Itaste VV battery and a tank of your choice. An Evod or Kanger T3S are the lower priced tanks here and they still work great on a VV3 and you can upgrade to a better tank later and have a spare tank. The thing is the VV3 battery is what will give you a much better vape over a standard ego battery. And it is easy to use. Also Vision spinners or Ego Twist batteries are better I'd recommend the extra dime for a VV3 if you decide to do this instead of a standard ego type kit. The B&M should be able to explain these things to you. Like mentioned before, stuff is cheaper online so I wouldn't invest much over 50 bucks there for a starter setup. They should also have a juice bar to sample flavors. Good luck :)
