Hi and welcome. I think there are better buys, but I wouldn't want to be responsible for you not vaping like a Storm Trooper :) Go for it. A good replacement tank for non-subohm vaping would be an Aspire Nautilus or a GS Air. That's an excellent battery, but it is, as you say, a 20A part. If you really want a 30 A battery, see if you can find a Sony VTC4. That's technically a 20A battery too, but that one, unlike others, can safely be run to 30A without venting; this is not true of its VTC5 brother. I doubt you are going to need it if you don't subohm; +ohm coils don't need-- can't tolerate-- the kind of wattage that would stress a 20A cell.

The cCell coils are supposed to also fit in the Aspire Triton tank, which makes me wonder if the Aspire Triton coils fit in the Target tank. If so, they make a 1.8Ω coil for the Triton what would probably be more suitable for MTL vaping. Let me page @Kaezziel who knows more about that machine than anybody I know. If you decide on a high ohm coil for your tank, you might want a smaller drip tip for it.

'Gratz on your desire to quit, good luck.

Thanks Brother! Lemme see what I can do to help here...

If ya go with the Target VTC kit... mod and atty combo, then you won't really have to worry too much about what works with what. I run Sony VTC5s in mine all day long... That's with either the Vaporesso 0.9 ohm Kanthal cCells or the Vaporesso 0.2 ohm Nickel cCells. I MUCH prefer the kanthal cCells for multiple reasons.
1. They give me better flavor than the nickel cells.
2. Much simpler to use because you don't have to bother with the temp control settings.
Get the kit, get some authentic Sony VTC5s from a good source (like Orbtronic) and pick up some kanthal cCells. Set your wattage at 25W initially and bump it up from there until you're happy with the vape (will depend on what juice you are using). I usually end up around 35W once the coil is broken in (after around the first tank).
I normally run my Target tank with the airflow about halfway open... adjust yours as you see fit for your style of vaping.

As always, lemme know if any of this doesn't make sense, and feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions or problems. I try to help as much as I possibly can. :)

OH! And welcome to the ECF Family!!

Oh yeah... one other note... you cannot buy the Target mods that are white with orange buttons. Those were pre-production models that were given out in contests to get the word out. The production white models have black buttons and trim... just so ya don't get ripped of or annoyed that you didn't get what you wanted.

Hopefully I'll know my way around before the s*** storm hits and I'll be able to stock up as well.
@suprtrkr Ah cheers! :) I really like the look of the target tank and similar ones which the relatively big drip tip, but if I can just buy new cCell coils instead of multiple tanks, it would be amazing!
The cCells are the primary factor in that rig, frankly. If I was looking for a TC capable, 1 battery small mod-- I'm not, I have two already-- I would probably buy a Kanger Topbox or an eVic VTC. As to the coils, some people love them, including my friend Kaez. They last longer than standard coils. However, they don't make one that's non-subohm, or not yet. If they take off (they're brand new), every manufacturer in the world will be making them in 6 months. But Vaporesso will probably have a +ohm version out first. It's meaningless to me, I build my own coils, so I'm not in the market for a prefab coil tank.

On the drip tip, small vapor, MTL hits usually respond better to them, is all. You can use a big drip tip for them if you like.

Thanks for the rapid response, my friend.

Any time, Brother... just glad I had to stick around work a bit late today. :)

@suprtrkr and @Kaezziel thank you both for the amazing advice and help!

I didn't expect such a warm-welcome, but my first impressions of the community are awesome! Hopefully I'll get to contribute soon. :)

Absolutely, Svet... and like I said. If you choose to pick up the Target kit, feel free to PM me if you ever need anything. I'm usually around during the days...

You'll be welcome when your experience level allows it, and that won't take long. We sometimes get newbies who don't know which end to put in their mouth :) Yes, this is an amazing place. There are a very few bad apples, and some of us-- even me-- will have an off moment and make a joke instead of helping, but in general, this place is refreshingly free of trolls and flame wars. What you see here in New Members is not at all uncommon. There are a number of experienced vapers-- I, humbly, am among the least of them-- who spend a lot of time trying to get our n00bs straightened out. Think of it as us striking a blow for emancipation from Big Tobacco :)
