Stormi, nice work, I like it very much. 2 ideas, maybe neodymium magnets in the box to stick it to your bike, and woven sheathing around the wires and tubes, sort of like a polyester shoelace, with heatshrink tubing on the ends? I would probably run this through my sleeve for super stealth vaping :vapor:

Hey storminyte, just an idea, but now you should get one of those old generators for a bike light that you flip on to the tire, and wire that in, maybe you could do away with the battery all together. Or use it to charge the battery. Or go solar.

Just tossing some ideas in the pool to see what floats :) so to speak:)

I love it...lot of great ideas! I used it today on my 6 hour ride and it worked perfect. I think I might try just making a 2C battery box with an RCA connector as the connector, then make the wire from a spiral USB charger. A large switch, big hole to pump the bottle (couldn't pump the last one with gloves on) and lastly, a magnet on the box to place on the tank, nice and handy. Maybe a pen holder to hold the atty end when not in use. Any of these ideas are better than the 510 manual batty I have been using for 2 seasons now! I'll post more pics when I decide for sure what I'm gonna do and have the time to actually do it.
Thanks for all the ideas!

Isn't it funny how you can ride a bike and vape. when I was smoking analogs I couldn't walk very far without wheezing and running out of breath. Now I'm on a treadmill running and vaping away on my 510, and it's hard to get my heart rate up to a "fat burning" level:) I love vaping. God bless the genius that invented the e-smoke.

Oh here I was thinking it was a bicycle not a real bike:) well yea , then it's much easier to put power to that thing. and if it's a newer bike a 12 volt lighter would work. but check many are still 6 volt.

Thanks guys!
Connman- the switch housing is waterproof and the little pouch I put the battery box in is partially covered. I try not to ride in the rain! LOL
Shrink tube is a good idea but the cord is pretty long. I might just use better wire, like a long USB cord that's already finished. Not sure yet, may know better after I test it on a long ride.

Just use a cable form a USB or something like that that has the positive and negative inside of a rubber tube ;)

EDIT... or use an RCA jack on an AV cable!!! it would look good and you would be able to disassemble it as well!!!

Opps I see the RCA was already suggested :(

I did re-do this...used a 2C box with a bottle and an RCA cable. Put the other end of the RCA at the end of an old car charger with the spiral cord and used the case of the charger to hold the connector/atty. I think I'm going torun the juice tube up the center of the spiral cord. Looks good and I can unplug it if needed. I'll post pics later. Thanks again for all the ideas.

That's right Ruyan;) , thought you'd get me on the trivia round huh? l.o.l Got to get up pretty early......or is it late? l.o.l

Sorry rev, it wasn't Ruyan. Post12, page 2, and I quote 'BradSmith'

I found it.

New Invention of 1963: The Smokeless Non-Tobacco Cigarette | Electronic Cigarettes by Instead E-Cigarette

Many people wonder about who actually invented the electronic cigarette. Most don’t know, while others would claim it is Hon Lik from China. But in 1963, Herbert A. Gilbert filed his patent on a smokeless non-tobacco cigarette. Two years later his patent was accepted. The whole patent issue becomes somewhat complicated when you consider new technology and different designs, but what is clear is that 46 years ago Herbert submitted the idea of a smokeless cigarette to the United States Patent Office. Here is an excerpt:

“The present invention relates to a smokeless non-tobacco cigarette and has for an object to provide a safe and harmless means for and method of smoking by replacing burning tobacco and paper with heated, moist, flavored air; or by inhaling warm medication into the lungs in case of a respiratory ailment under direction of a physician.”

You getting any sleep these days rev? :D

That's the one!! sleep, what's that?? :) I'm too busy these days. Seems like everyone in this state wants to get married or re-married this year. Just today I officiated a wedding at the troll under the
fremont bridge. That thing is pretty cool, I've never seen it before.

I read the one about ruyan also though. but you're right if that if that is an actual patent or drawing , then yes it was in 63. too bad there was no follow through though.

Got it done last night except for adding the bottle, my tank is not metal (Goldwing) so I'm going to have to use velcro, as much as I hate to. I'll post pics when it finished. It looks good with the coil wire and I put the battery connector into the cig lighter end.

Hey Stormi, sorry we didn't mean to hijack your thread. That's the problem with insomnia, like the days and nights all the threads start melding into one another.
Can't wait to see the finished mobile vaping mod.

I didn't think a thing of it, conversation is good! Thanks anyway.
I finished it earlier but spent awhile searching for a short. Found it in the end of the cig charger cord, must have cut it trying to get through the tough covering. Haven't fixed it yet but will tomorrow. Here's a pic of what I have so far. Just need to fix the short and secure the tube to the cord.
