New io6 not wicking properly?

I just ordered a 2.5ohm io6 and put it into my SS vtube. The thing just doesn't wick. 5v is burnt, 4.5v is burnt, 4v is burnt, and I wont even start on 6v.

I primed it properly and let it sit for a minute, it just doesn't help.

My last io6 I had to debridge and dewick to solve the issue, and I want to avoid having to do it again. Any tips?

I poured about a liter of boiling water through mine, that seemed to do the trick.

Hmmm, ill try it lol.

I emailed the vendor about it, I'm not sure of they'll send a replacement or not but I probably wont mess with it until I hear back.
