Hi guys! my name's mikkie, and i was a long time lurker on this forum about 18 months ago. i was stuck in the labor and delivery room awaiting the arrival of my sweet little boy. and as much as i wanted to meet him, GOD did i ever want a cigarette! my best friend and a girl who was nice enough to give her a ride came to be with me that day. every now and then, out of the corner of my eye, i'd see a wisp of smoke. i thought i was going insane from withdrawl! i asked the girl what she was doing, and she showed me her e-cig, and offered me a puff. (non-nicotine carts, and she knew i was just dying!) being the skeptic i am, i declined but immediately grabbed my laptop to do some research. i found this forum and scoured for days on what to get and where from (once i was convinced that these were WAY safer than analogs) i can't even remember anymore what i ordered, but it was close to a 510. i. hated. it. it was like sucking wet cement through a stirring straw. i dealt with that for about a month though, supplementing the cravings with analogs, and ended up going back to analogs in the end.
flash forward to 2 weeks ago, i was at my inlaws (who had been intrigued with my original e-cig) and find that they have been vaping for the last 6 months with great success. they gave me one to use for the duration of my stay, and i came home not wanting a cigarette, but desperately wanting to vape again. i missed the flavors, i missed the smoothness, and they apparently now make ones that are easier to inhale than an analog! i went to electronicstix and got a new 510 manual battery,(i want to try an eGo, but cant get past the size...yet.) a bunch of LR cartomizers, clove 18mg, and a charger. it came today and i've been happily vaping since! i'm excited to have found the improvements in technology on these, and cant wait to be completely analog free! I'm so happy to finally be joining this forum with an intense desire to kick my terrible habit.

he and his older sister are the joys of my life, along with my hubby, who has been smoke free for 2 years cold turkey. i admire his strength in dealing with my habit while quitting his own. we've never smoked in our home, so that has made it easier, what i'm looking forward to most is running around playing with my kids and not being winded. my daughter is now old enough to know what smoking is, and scolds me every chance she gets. she still doesn't like the vaping, but says if it makes me "not die" she'll deal with it. lol. gotta love kids.
