The best general advice I would choose to give to new GG owner;
stay/visit GG forum as match as you can,and tune better
For what was written in past posts while collect more data from new posts.
There many many pages of discusses on what you ask and more,
Better to go slowly and learn as much as u can.
I bet if you had some very specific only topic, you would have get many advices in no time
As members here are happy to assit.
I wont get to all reasons becouas there too many to count but
GG attys are the best match for GG mod.
Best for best.
In time of use on daily routine you slowly become aware that it is like so.
I use on the GG telescope mod all 3 GG fat attys: Ody Ithaka V1 and V2.
They are all top notch and cut above all the rest, and if one should be taken
It will be the Ithaka: it will give more options!
I say congrats on your new GG,and if you like wellcome to hang around.:toast:

Oh and GG attys are the best! :) but I have said that allready:unsure:
Well just to be sure GG atty are really the best companion for GG mod :)

Ithaka all the way V1 and V2 and you will have anything one need IMO!

Congratulations unstable for your brand new justGG. I hope it will serve you as you wish:)
Keep its threads clean (use alcohol or white gasoline from supermarket) and clean from time to time the contact between venting cap's axis and button. Thats all for best performance

Thanks for the responses. I've been looking at a Ithaca.

Like Steliosss said,
Ithaka is a very GOOD match for your Just GG ! You only have to decide if you want the original wich has the classic coil build of non resistance- resistance- non resistance wire inside, or the Ithaka Update, wich is build with only res wire.

The same option is for the Penelope . the Penelope V2 (Non Res wire- res wire) or the Pennelope V3 (only resistance wire) are very good ones too. they are smaller in diameter and do also a very good job.

You can find a lot of pictures in the GG Pictures Thread to take a look how your new just gg fits and looks like with ithaka or Penelope.

greetings
Stan

Welcome! There are stickies that imeo keeps up to date with all the tech info you're looking for like care, cleaning, specs, etc. As far as atties go, I think you'll find the majority of posting users will be partial to using a GG atty with their GG mod. Not only out of obsession but because of design, engineering and functionality aspects too. I use Odysseus on ggts and Ithaka on just GG.

Fancy seeing Reonaut here. :toast:
Similar to reoville, there are tons of useful info all over the place. Also lots of friendly people who will help you.

Grand is built for certain usage pattern. Grand for 18650 and Mini for 18490. Anodized finish is tough and there really isn't much to do on it except to learn how to squank. :D Even cleaning is as simple as putting it under running water and brush a little. It is great for every day usage and can take a beating. It is a great mod.
On the other hand, Just GG is almost polar opposite. It is a beautiful mod and you can't help but to keep it nice and shiny. There are many threads on polishing and maintaining GG. Bish (he is like super x in reoville) has several videos on cleaning. This is totally optional but most of are drawn to it since the mod is.. beautiful. :) Also since it is modular, you can try using in different configurations. 18650, 18490, +kick, Stealth.. etc. Very versatile and plenty options to keep it interesting. The options increase 10 fold when you start to combine various atomizer options. Even with Ithaka, you can run it Nr or R, Long/Short, Clear tank/Steal.. etc. Also, Ody, Pen.. etc. Not to mention the options available when you put on the 510 base.

Reo's mod is something you buy a mod (or two), add juice, and vape. In the case GG mods, you can spend hours or weeks trying out different configurations and tweaking here and there. It is a science on its own. This is why lots of discussions here are more on the mod and less on social topic. :)

Two main things that might be useful.
Atomizer (ex Ithaka) is much more sophisticated than simple BF atomizer (ex. RM2 or Chalice). Proper wicking is critical and very different from 1/2" short wick on BF atomizer. Similar to learning how to squank, take your time and you will get it.
There are many parts to deal with and you will become comfortable disassembling/assembling these parts frequently. This is very different user experience and needs different expectation/mindset.

I am not sure if I am making ANY sense with this late night writing, :D
but just remember that, similar to reoville, there are lots of very friendly people here (including the modder himself) who will definitely help you.
Welcome!

Yes you caught me lol. I looked at the JGG before I bought my Reo. The GG caught my eye and I have wanted one since. At the time though I needed a tough mod (heavy equipment operator here).
The reo will always be a staple for me. I see the GG as something beautiful to come home to after work, kick back after super and vape.

The Ithaka out of all the GG attys is what I really want. Looks like a V2 is what I need to be on the look out for. Again thanks for the help. My GG should be here tomorrow as well as a Origen v2 dripper. This will work until I find an Ithaka.

Try out the v1 as well, it is very hard to tell.
I didn't like GG atties before, because the are hassle to do all NR-Res-NR thingy.
But look at me now, I don't even bother using other atty anymore, including the updates.
But it is just personal preference, I don't like the non-NR updates, maybe my coiling failed lol
