If you want NO modification at all, then I think the eleaf GS Air coils are your best option. You can just put them in because they are so close to the design of the egrip coils. If you don't mind changing a pin, the Aspire bvc coils are good, but your device won't sit flat anymore. What is the consensus? What has been the best and easiest option (No modification) for replacement coils (Other then stock eGrip coils)?
For the V1 eGrip, this is the only no modification, no recoiling solution. For the V2 eGrip (OLED), the CL OLED with CLR coils are the best solution (note: just because the CLR are rebuildable doesn't mean they have to be, they are cheap enough to be just a replaceable solution). If you want NO modification at all, then I think the eleaf GS Air coils are your best option. Does anyone know how low a coil you can have in the original egrip? Can I use the 1.0 ohm coils in it.Finally Joyetech USA is selling the eGrip CL base, YAY!!! eGrip CL Base I have to say I'm loving mine. Much easier to wick, no leaks and taste is great. A little less vapor and a tighter draw, but IMO it's better than the RBA especially with no leaks![]()
I don't think the v1 will fire the 1 ohm CL coilsDoes anyone know how low a coil you can have in the original egrip? Can I use the 1.0 ohm coils in it.
No. Minimum is 1.2 ohm and I use 1.8 to 2.0Does anyone know how low a coil you can have in the original egrip? Can I use the 1.0 ohm coils in it.
I posted the videos here. Note that these are GS Air coils which are almost identical to the eGrip coils. I wouldn't try rebuilding with 2 coils, all the ones I've done I've made them a single coil. I also replaced the outer wicking material with coffee filter paper cut 1" x 1/4", wet with eliquid and then placed inside the top cap.
I think they should have replaced them for free with the new base, honestly. But got my rba replacement for $7 and shipping on sale at My Freedom Smokes along with some Kanthal.I got the new one, have yet to try and do new wick, we shall see!
Do you mean you got a new CL eGrip, or is there some type of new coil available (I'm sorry, I couldn't tell from your post)?I got the new one, have yet to try and do new wick, we shall see!
That usually means that the atomizer is too low. Try changing your coilIt looks like my original egrip has some kind of short in it. When I try to vape it the light on the switch just does fast blinking. When I try a recharge the light just keeps blinking so I'm not even sure if it's charging.
Does anyone have any ideas? Can I even send it in to Joyetech?
I love my egrips and have bought two of the oleds which I rotate. I've found that with using the gs-air coils I get the most consistent vape over any other device I've used in the past.
No leaks whatsoever from mine and I've been using it continuously for a few weeks. Is anyone having a problem with the white caps for the CLR coils breaking? Also any leaks from the CL base?
