I'm at work, I'll try that when I get home. I keep a spare coil for my nautilus mini at work. Forgot to bring one for the egrip. I hope that fixes the leaking. I like this device, all day tank, easy to carry, easy to charge. Should be a winner. (egrip charges only when button switch is armed.)

My biggest hurdle right now is the liquids. All the one's I've tried make me a bit queasy. I hope it's like sea sickness and I'll just get over it. I really really want to say good bye to the last few daily cigs I'm still smoking. Then I want to help 10 more people quit. The best way to get even with the government is take away their addiction--our money.

I'm fairly certain that will fix your issue.. Speaking of coil heads... I posted about how I cleaned one after a week's use yesterday... This morning, I decided to just pop another in to see how much of a difference it would make. I was VERY surprised. I chose to use one from one of the 5 packs I purchased instead of the extra included with the kit. It's SO much better than the other.. No where near as much of the "filler" taste. Quite good actually. :vapor:

Hopefully, the other's in the packs I have will follow suit. :)

EDIT: Good luck in your journey staying away from tobacco... :) You are lucky to be getting started now. There are so many more choices in gear and juices than when I started 4 years ago. There's plenty of juices to choose from.. I'm sure you will find something that agrees with you. Take advantage of the sample packs offered by many vendors..

Problems. Wire not fire. Buton lite blinks when pressed, which means its not making contact or is shorted. Tried the other coil , same thing. When i try to charge it the button lite blinks then goes outafter its on for awhile. It is suppose to stay on steady when it is fully charged. Don't they test these before they put them in the box. Will try other coil from the 5 pack, but I have a bad feeling. Will let u know up happens.

OK, Were do I start with this. Well, first off I was one of the unlucky ones to have their credit card compromised by Joytech USA's poor security. After a run around they are placing the blame on an outside vendor. Now today after 4 days of using it off an on it is dead. Will not fire any of the 4 coils I have tried. I really had high hopes for this product as a small form factor carry mod when i did not feel like lugging my mech's or box mods. I have babied this thing and have been very careful when cleaning the tank. The idea is great, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. They want to RMA it after offering me my choice of one of their products and 5 juices. I just want my money refunded back to my card and I will send the unit back to them. I don't think this is an issue of if your egrip will fail. I think it is an issue of when based on the build and design.

I hope this keeps someone from making the same mistake I did.

Edit: I want to edit this comment with the response I received from a Joytech Rep who just contacted me. He apologized profusely about the credit card fiasco. He also said not to worry about an RMA he would be sending out a new egrip today with "enough coils to last a year". He was pleasant and wanted to make sure I was happy. I expressed my worries about the design, but he assured me that they have had very few issues thus far (of course it is early). I wanted to be fair and " tell the whole story" and that includes very good customer service from the gentleman who handles their Reddit account.

I got a 5 pack of coil heads with the egrip so I'll start with one of those. There are a lot of cool gadgets in vaping and there are going be plenty more. I'm on the move so much my vaping gadgets have to reflect that.

My hunch is there should be room to improve the juices. Are VG and PG really all there is? The buzz i get from cigs is an all body thing, from vapor it's mostly in my head. The former is preferable to the latter.

Part of the body buzz you get from smoking is actually oxygen deprivation from carbon monoxide. Stick with vaping long enough and you will learn to live without that, IMO.

I posted about on/off problems and leaking fluid from the air intake.

The on/off function on my egrip works. For turning off the vw light must be on and the right cadence used on the five clicks. If the button presses are too fast the hardware might not sense them all. Once you get the hang of it the function is there, now--a one, and a two, and a...

I replaced the coil head with one from the 5 pack after getting home from work and have only vaped on it for a while but there is no gurgling and no leaking so far. I hope, that was the fix. Other things being equal (as in everything works) I really like this device.

The user guide seems like a translation of something and not the clearest translation at some points. A trouble shooting page could be thrown in the shipping package with a few pointers such as the issues I had. I'm a beginner vaper, not as clever as I'll be as the months go by and that would probably describe a lot of the customers for this device.

After 3 weeks I might be getting over vapor 'sea sickness'. I'll be glad to say good by to that.

I too got my debit card compromised, and have a egrip that does not work, called them on both accounts. Was not as lucky as you. They want me to send it in and they will send a new one. Just got the run around on the card compromise. Kept me on hold twice and still denid it. You got the better deal with no return and a years worth of heads, guess I didn't ..... enough. I even mentioned your deal , that didn't help. Oh well, if the new one crap I will ask for my money backand stop reccomending Joyrteck products to people. We will see. Al

So let me get this right: you got a defective unit, their CS actually answered you (did not ignore your email or phone call) and are offering to send you a new one.

So what is the problem?

Just got the run around on the card compromise.

vendors don't have your CC numbers saved, it is the card processing company that was probably breached, we had hundreds o those last year and equal number of vendors. Wasn't the vendor themselves. Every now and again a rash o these breaks out......I bet it will start hitting other vendors as well.

That won't matter, because so many millions of Joyetech products are so good, and people know this.

Please understand that when you are selling millions of items, there are bound to be units that are defective. TRY getting your money back on most chinese stuff.........Joyetech is KNOWN for the best warranty in the biz......even US vendors can offer returns on their products, because Joyetech provides it to them.

Oh, so it was Joyetech that compromised my card?

I was away from home and they cleaned my bank account out. Rotten POS thieves!

Kudos to my bank though, they had my money bank in my account in about twenty minutes.

I will have to give Joyetech a piece of my mind about that.

I did return to find my new egrip waiting on me and have been really enjoying it since yesterday.

Why don't they just take Paypal, I know I will not give them my credit card information again.

I really do like the device so far, (only been a day) but I will have to find a local shop to get supplies or they will have to sart taking Paypal.

Paypal does not allow ecig purchases through them. If you get caught, your account will be closed.

Never a good idea to use debit cards for online purchases that are attached to your checking/savings acct. Much safer to use a credit card IMO

I use BOA and they have a shop safe feature for buying online. I create a 1 time use # with a limit set by me cc number for each purchase. I know that Citibank is another one that offers the same service. With those numbers even if your cc # is hacked, it is no good to the thief.

rounding third and heading home...
count me as another victim of getting my card hacked. i have a visa debit card which offers the exact same protection as a credit card. -my bank replaced all the money in a day. of course, it is provisional (it always is for every one) but i have no doubt it will be resolved perfectly in the end. by the way, for people wanting paypal to use for their purchases- paypal is just as vulnerable (if not more) to hackers as any other on-line financial company. the fact is where there is money there will be people looking to steal it. i have found the banks, etc very good in replaceing and getting my account corrected very quickly. for me, they deserve kudos every time i have had a problem. just like the Post Office i always hear complaints but my dealings have always been good with little to no problems.i think the best thing to do is to keep a seperate account for on-line only and keep the balance low enough to do the business at hand and not any more. you can asdd or subtract money as you need to but never have much more than you need for a particular purchase. at least if you are hacked it is never for all your money and the number of transaction are limited. just and idea, but it has proven helpful during the 2 times i have been hacked this year. areal plus is it makes you think about those large purchases- in the time it takes to transfer money you may re-think the need for a particular item . i know in vaping it has helped with those "must -have" device purchases. of course, i have still gotten a few but it has slowed me down on others and that is a good thing in my book. YMMV
anybody know a dual 18650 sx350 mod in stock so i can purchase right now?... oh wait, ineed to think about it....

Ok tried 2 coils so far juice still taste burnt. No matter where I set it. Having second thoughts on the Egrip.

Drott's dog shack on the move.

What PG/VG ratio are you using? I use 50/50 and have not had that issue. I do wish that the Egrip went a little lower than 8W though. Do you have any way to test and be sure that your Egrip is putting out accurate wattage? Only two things that I am able to think of.

I use a 50/50 blend myself... On any of these coil-head attys, I always prime them with a little juice before installing. Perhaps try holding a finger over the eGrip's air-inlet, and take a couple of short dry-pulls if using high VG. It may be necessary to thin out the juice some if wicking is an issue.
