Anyone using the GS Air coils in their eGrip? I just got some of these coils the other day and replaced the BVCs that I've been using with the GS coil. Major horrible flooding followed... my entire tank leaked out and it was super gurgly. juice kept coming out of the air hole. Ugh... this didn't happen before with the other coils. What gives?

I use the GS in my eGrip exclusively.. the little silicone rings at the top of the coil need to be switched for a proper seal- the eGrip ring is thicker than what the GS comes with. could probably use 2 GS rings if you don't have any eGrip rings available.

Ok, so I took the coil out, cleaned my device, put the coil back in, and now its working. I think I screwed something up earlier... like the threads were messed up since it wouldn't screw all the way in. They are working fine now. The performance is very similar to the BVCs, can't tell a difference personally. Yea so... it flooding was mainly my own user fault lol. I think they perform better than the original CS coils though!

Glad you got that worked out Kyi.

So I have a question for those if you that use GS or BVC wick heads; do you folks get some gurgling caused by the collection of juice under the drip tip like us rba users do?

I don't get gurgling from juice under the drip tip, I believe that is from over wicking (it was for me) , which then let's juice pull up the air tube.
This has been my experience. YMMV

Hey guys, back to vaping after a 6 month hiatus. I just picked up an egrip yesterday from my local B&M and I'm a little worried that it's not the newest version. The dial only has a marking for 20 watts, and dots instead of numbers for the other settings, which is not what I thought it would look like. It is also quite loose and rattly. The other thing is that the light after a couple hours of charging goes out. I assume that it is fully charged when this happens, but Ive read that it is supposed to stay solid when charged. Other than that, I really love this device, especially with the RBA add on. It's awesome. I'm just concerned I didn't get the newest version. Can anyone tell me what it's supposed to look/operate like?

The newer ones don't have numbers - only dots and the 20 watt number! My lights go out when it's fully charged. So it sounds as if you do have the newest version - enjoy, I love mine :)

Thanks for the response! I think it was the cheap feel of the dial that made me worried. But I am really enjoying it! Always wanted a tiny mod that gets the job done. I think joyetech have a real winner.

I have three of them, and the dial is slightly looser on one than on the others. But I really like them for going out - and the flavor is excellent!

Sorry guys if I had any part on the confussion of the 'magical' screws. I see the RBA one right it in front of me. lol I was looking for a phillips screw. Haven't looked up under the bottom plate yet. But they're hitting fine for the moment anyway.

Got a good one for ya. A month ago I was sitting at my desk here and just knew my silver center button popped out and hit the floor. I looked and looked, wife looked even. Gone! After a few days I figured the dog ate it. Oh well it still works without it I guess.

Then just lastnight I was sitting at our band practice break table and looked down and seen what looked like an earring or something like that. I thought no way is that my center button but sure enough it was. I lost it there and never noticed it missing till the next morning here. Think we can superglue them in if we don't get to nutty?

The gel type superglue would work. The regular stuff is too runny, could run down into the switch and lock it up.

Good luck

I get the pool of juice under the drip tip using the coils, but it doesn't seem to cause gurgling for me. Maybe just wastes a little bit of juice. When I do get gurgling it's usually related to the coil.

I've def had gurgling from the drip tip without a flooded rba; especially when I lay the egrip on its side instead of standing it upright between vapes. Cleaning out the drip tip and the top of the airtube stops it for a while, then it starts again. Could be the condensation there is greater with the rba because of greater vapor production vs. the bvc or gs coils.

Either way I'm pretty sure my rba is not flooding...no harshness, excessive throat hit, hot vapor, weak vapor production or gurgling from the rba. I keep my wattage set high enough that I run on the edge of burny hits.....flavor is always best at those temperatures imo.

Thanks all for the input.

Mine also gets a lot of juice under the driptip. Its not condensation , its pure juice. Sucked out because of the vacume? But it doesnt gurgle because of that . I was thinking about drilling the juice holes a little bit bigger because of this. But it doenst bother me that mutch.
But today, decided to clean the tank after 1 month of different juices inside and guess what. It blacked out on me :D . Then quickly unscrewed the bottom plate and then i placed the device near the hot air blower and after 1 hour it works again. Lucky...

Should have said vapor condensation. That's pure juice.

Glad you got it working again after cleaning. Did you follow my recommended cleaning process that I posted on the previous page when this happened?

Looking for some tips using the purchased coils for the RBA base.

I seem to either have too much wick and no airflow,

Or not enough with to airy of a draw and leaking out the base.

When it's right, it's really right. Great flavor, vapor, and no leaking. But I'm having a hard time finding that sweet spot.

Are we cutting the wick shorter? fluffing it?? tucking it into the base?? Keeping the coil close the the base? slightly raised???
