So Cal
What have you guys done about the issues with the eGrip not functioning. Mine had a full battery, I rewicked, it worked for 5 min, and now has completely stopped working. No light...nothing. It doesn't even light up when I plug it in. I emailed the vendor and joyetech US and I am waiting to hear back. I recommended the thing to two other people and they have both had similar issues. My brother can fix his issue by slamming the mf on the table, and then it will work, but I don't want to do that (well, I do, but that wouldn't work for me). I am pretty frustrated with the thing, which is a shame because it is such a great idea. Have you guys found any fixes?

I'm sure you've already done this, but did it turn itself off? Five quick presses to check! I have three and mine all behave well, so that's all I can think of.

Right? I've accidentally turned mine off too while servicing the rba. Thing is, I should have, and now do, deliberately turn it off with 5 quick clicks of the power button before removing the base or filling the tank.

I am probably going to put the jinx in this. Using you-all advice I got her working great. I think the problem was I just scattered the wick about the base. Paying attention to how the wick lines up to the feed holes seems to have done the trick. Vaping like a champ. Thanks

Tell us what made the difference B. Just covering the holes? Wicking heavier?

Kinda both. First I used slightly longer wick and fanned it out onto the base before placing the chimney base on. Once I got that on I pressed what wick I could against the sides of the chimney on the away from the coil sides. I could still see light through the fill ports on two sides. (trying to describe this) I took that thin top (paper like) layer I had been discarding from the supplied organic cotton. Cut them just large enough to cover each hole. And bingo.

I suspect the short version. And what someone had previously advised. Make sure the fill holes are covered. And keep the wick away from the airflow hole in the base.

Still vaping like a beast. Not a drop coming out the base.

ps I had some trouble getting the chimney base screwed all the way down. Screwed it on and off several times until it was firmly seated at the bottom.

Not this time. I find when I do it the "bunny ear style" I wants to twist the wick over the top of the coil and shuts off the airflow. Not saying it wont work for some. Just that I have not been successful doing it that way. I think it is hard to ensure all of the feed holes are covered doing it that way also.

I did get some moisture in the air flow hole. Of course after I put the jinx on myself. It was after the egrip spent some time in my pocket. A couple of reverse toot's cleared that right up. This morning I got up with it dry as a bone. So all is well.

Does anyone know how the RBA compares to using the Aspire coils?

Curious, do you ever get ejuice up into the drip tip chamber?
I haven't been able to figure out how to resolve this issue.
I tried lower voltage then higher voltage to no avail.

The Aspire coils BDC & BVC are better than the stock coils imo, but the rba base is the best.

Apparently I just have to stop talking about it. After my last post it just says "Oh yeah" and juice dump. Dmmmit

I feel your pain. This is one of the issues that keeps me from using mine more. It needs a diaper and a bib, otherwise it can get messy when you least expect it.
I have actually been using my Mutation x rda lately and it isn't as messy as some people make them out to be.

My flavor seems to change sometimes sporadically throughout my tank and always seems to be the most flavorful towards the bottom when I'm running low. I'm using the RBA base at 20w with RY4. Anyone else experience this? I've had times mid tank where I'll get a handful of tasty pulls and wonder why I can't get that consistently.

Also this may have to go in a different thread but I've read others here that use ultrasonic cleaners. I just got one of the small 3min ones and think something is off. I just did a good 2-3 hours with two different juices and neither seemed to be effected. Neither changed color. They were ry4 and orange cream in 60ml blue glass bottles filed about halfway. The water stayed decently warm the entire time but nothing. My liquid has changed color more in my egrip tank today while I've been Vaping it than it did after a few hours in the cleaner.

Help! For any of you that have had the usb charge port issue, is there anyway to take the tank apart and fix it yourself?

My husband bought my egrip for Christmas from somewhere (I'm not sure where) & they won't take it back or exchange it because 30 days has passed. I love this thing, especially for traveling and there is no longer any connection with any mini usb charger.

Suggestions for saving this thing?

There were pics posted of pulling it apart by rjeatkrconley early in this thread. Then you need someone to resolder the usb port back onto the pcb, I believe that is what happens, the usb port comes loose off the board, or maybe the solder joints holding it on get cracks. This is the direction I would be heading in.

Hi Folks
I just finished reading the whole thread & thinking how lucky I have been with mine, no problems at all then wham! (serves me right)
This morning it just leaked a full tank of juice out,I changed the head to the RBA & it did the same.
I checked the base where they thread in & see a bit of what I think is silicone sticking out underneath the threads,so I guess that is shot & why it's leaking.
My question is has anyone replaced this ? as I cant see how a new one will go in unless I can take the bottom plate off.

I honestly didn't know there was an O ring there,if indeed it is one,but it appears to be underneath the threads???

I'm so sick.I loved it & I have been vaping this thing non stop since I got it a couple of months back & have ordered another in fact, and nothing I have gives a vape like this :(

Any ideas welcome  T.I.A
