JOYETECH EGRIP - Vapor Tek USA $53.99 right now. Best price I've seen so far. Be prepared to wait though. I have preordered with VaporTek before and waited over a month after the expected release date.
Yep, Vaportekusa can take a while to get stuff in, but they do get it in eventually. That said, just pre-ordered the black one! [emoji4] I can wait, have plenty to keep me busy for now - this will be my Christmas present to myself!

Paypal does not allow ecig purchases through them. If you get caught, your account will be closed.

Never a good idea to use debit cards for online purchases that are attached to your checking/savings acct. Much safer to use a credit card IMO

I use BOA and they have a shop safe feature for buying online. I create a 1 time use # with a limit set by me cc number for each purchase. I know that Citibank is another one that offers the same service. With those numbers even if your cc # is hacked, it is no good to the thief.

First I've heard of this? Up until this purchase every purchase I have made for vaping stuff went through paypal... I will have to look into it more closely.

Don't forget to use the 5% off code. If you can get enough friends together to buy 10 or more, you can buy bulk and get them for about $40 :D

I've been using my egrip for several days. It took some practice to get the button presses right to turn the device on and off. It leaked the first day. Replacing the factory installed coil with one from the 5 pack appears to have resolved that.

I like being able to use the device in the car while it's charging, I like how discrete it is in public. 8 watts seems to be enough power for me at this point. A rubberized case would be a nice option. I'm thinking about how to make a fitted case or pouch for my belt.

OR a separate debit / credit card, tied only to your online shopping account. I opened one, and only xfer the $$ each time I make a purchase, so there is not one penny left. and o course, no overdraw protection on that one. :)

This day and age, if a bank has no team that looks at transactions all day (fraud team) they aren't very good banks. I live in a tiny town in boonies and my bank has excellent team.

Yeah, what is it with all these high output mods? They need to stop catering to the cloud chasers.

Yes. They are shooting themselves in foot if they stop carry SIMPLE STUFF.

MOST people who quit smoking by vaping are probably more like me, I quit on an ego twist then a 14500 vmod bottom feeder, and still prefer that kind o vape.....and I'm also not gonna pay $35 for a clearomizer. Coils are cheap, I don't need a $35 device to put them in. It's getting ridiculous.

I vape at about 6-8 watts. Never higher, don't want higher.

My biggest hurdle right now is the liquids. All the one's I've tried make me a bit queasy. I hope it's like sea sickness and I'll just get over it. I really really want to say good bye to the last few daily cigs I'm still smoking.

Might try lowering the nicotine % in your joose.

One other only slight negative is that it is heavy for it's size.

I use a full sized nautilus with BVCs on my iStick.

OK...you have your iStick with Nauty and your eGrip both sitting on your table...and both loaded with joose and fully charged.

Which one do you stick in your pocket when you're heading out to party???

You may want to do just that. I had my PP account locked down by them for using it to sell ecigs in the classies years ago. Here is more info http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...going-after-e-cig-companies-we-got-today.html

After closer review, it appears that only products containing nicotine, the juice or pre-filled atomizers and such fit the bill as "tobacco products", so I think all of mine were within their policy. I don't usually buy e-juice online and have used my CC each time for that.

I think I am going to get one of those reloadable cards from Walmart for online purchases and only load it with what I need to make the purchase. It will cost 3 bucks each time I load it but that is pretty cheap insurance IMO.

Well I have been vaping on the Egrip since I got home on Friday, though not exclusively, and while I love the form of this little thing, it just doesn't give me enough air flow and vapor. So I have friend I will be giving it to, I think she'll like it and maybe, just maybe, I'll get her off of the cigarettes.

In the devices defense, the other box I have been vaping on is the IPV3 monster, which is absolutely stupid on power, tried vaping at 150 watts and it was like sucking on a hair dryer, just to friggin hot.

Does anyone know what board Joytech used for this thing?

I would love to hear that it is a DNA 20 board with an added charge circuit and flat pack battery. Cause this would mean the possibility of a DNA 40 version in the future, and that would be sweet.

If they used a DNA40 board in a device like this, coil life could be amazing since your not going to burn the wick and they should last a long time.

So I am hoping Joyetech keeps this form, and offers at least a higher power device with better air flow.

No, the eGrip was never intended to be a cloud-chasing device.. The fact that it uses coil heads kind of seals the deal on that.. ;) There is speculation from the Vapin' Greek's review which leads me to believe the iStick and eGrip share the same electronics. I hope this is not the case since the iStick has been scoped by PBusardo, and found to be quite inaccurate.

I suggest that you follow Dr Konstantinos Farsalinos vaping temperature study.. I have a feeling it's going to be eye-opening for many who enjoy high-wattage vaping.. Most of us switched from tobacco to vaping for harm-reduction. Depending upon the results of the study, many may be shelving their devices which are not temperature controlled. I know I will. ;) Lot's of $$ invested in those devices, but I would have burnt the $$ I spent on them up on tobacco anyway if it weren't for vaping..

EDIT:

If they used a DNA40 board in a device like this, coil life could be amazing since your not going to burn the wick and they should last a long time.

Chinese manufacturers are geared up to produce temp-controlled devices and coil heads, so it's possible the next revision or two of the eGrip may include the feature. ;) The industry will be moving to temp-controlled devices.. It's just a matter of time before they're mainstream. All the crying and moaning about our mechs and other non-temp-controlled devices suddenly not being as safe as we thought won't change a thing if the study concludes they are not. Evolv has recently stated they will NOT be making a Kick-type device with temp-control, and attempts by other manufacturers will need to be tested for accuracy, and dependability..

Controlling your build won't do much good from what I've read.. Most of the risky emissions are thought to be when the coil first fires, and then, when the button is released from what I gather.. Not the vaping in-between. The solution to this is / will be temp-control. The concept just makes sense..

These are from an interview conducted by ECF's founder, SmokeyJoe, with Evolv:

Brandon: What I will say is that we look at the e-cigarette as a separable problem. So, we’re attacking the vapor integrity in the DNA40, and really we’re doing this much earlier because we were kind of pushed into it by the FDA. We need to come up with a regulatory framework where we can guarantee that we know what’s in the vapor stream, or we’re never going to see an approvable product. But, we see there’s a finite number of things to solve before the e-cigarette is as good or better than a tobacco cigarette.

John: On mech devices, unregulated with no airflow, we saw 1200, 1300 Farhenheit. What we really found, while we were developing the temperature regulation, our big insight there which we’re happy to share, is that a lot of the research is doing this wrong; where you get the problem isn’t during the draw. During the draw you’ve got airflow, you’ve got a fairly fixed boil rate: you’re at the boiling point of your fluid during the draw. Where you run into problems is priming the device: you hit the button, you’re getting temperatures there without airflow high enough to start carmelizing your juice or, towards the end of your draw when you’re not sucking as hard. So the important times are the times you’re not drawing consistently.

Hi, received mine yesterday, taste is not very good with the coil received.
Do you confirm it is better with others from pack of 5 heads?

I've been vaping one out of a 5 pack since last Friday, and IMO, it tastes much better than the pre-installed. I can't say conclusively though since I haven't tried others out of the pack. Coil heads in general can be a crap-shoot. I hope there's some consistency with these.. :)

Thx for reply, hope to be more lucky with the 5 pack.
Some of us in France haven't receive the same version than we saw on different reviews.
No numbers to choose wattage :

Hi I got my egrip from a local B&M last thursday and have been vaping on it pretty exclusively last few days. So fast this little device is working great. Vapor production is excellent and the flavor is slightly below the aspice BVC in my opinion. I did get a burnt taste in one of my coils on Monday but that was probably due to me chain vaping at higher wattages and messing around to much with the device. A four hour soak in vodka seems to have brought the life back to the coil.

Does anyone know a good source to get the coils online?
