Man I really wanna get one of these but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Spent too much money on random crap this month. How much heavier is this than the istick? Which one should I get... silver or wood? I don't have any "wood" mods and would really like to have one but I'm worried it'll look kinda cheap or plasticy? Is anyone having problems with the USB port on theirs or any other defects to be aware of? I want more info on this device! Do they all come with the tool that lets you unscrew or tighten the knobs? How long do the heads hold up?

The egrip weighs 6 ounces, istick around 3.5 depending on the tank.
Get whichever one you want.
Mine is working great.
Yes on the tool.
Couldn't tell you on the coils. I just got mine on the 19th. It comes with a spare so I'll order more when that one goes in.
I have Joye Ego-C coils that have lasted for months, so I'm not too worried about. I vape light juices and rarely go above the 8W bottom on this thing.
I bought 2 isticks before I saw the Egrip. Now the egrip is my favorite. All in one.

I bought mine from ebay. eGrip atomizer CS head (5pcs a pack).

Pretty decent seller. I bought a couple of boxes- he ran out of stock & called me on the phone to see if I wanted him to send what he had & fulfill the rest of the order when more stock came in or wait & send them all at one time. I'd order from him again.

I have yet to use one yet. The one that was loaded in the egrip when I rec'd it is still going strong & there's another in the box.

Ok I finally ordered a silver one. I'll wrap it later if I feel like it. The list of stuff included in the box doesn't say that there is a tool but I guess there is one? Damn and I told myself I wouldn't need anything else after the iStick. With vaping, there is always something else newer and better coming out. I really hope nothing else catches my attention anytime soon. Can't wait to get the mod!! I just love the all in 1 design idea and how small it is AND the USB charging which I've come to love in all of my devices. Makes it so much easier.

If you ordered the full kit you get the tool- if you ordered the body only- no tool but you can use a quarter. I actually prefer the quarter.

Besides the real sloppy/loose button, I'd say this device is perfect

My 1st the button is stiff/firm; the 2nd a lil loose but not what I'd consider sloppy/loose.

The units with only one of the wattage numbers displayed, are they the older/review models that they sent out or is the one with more numbers the release version? And if you have a problem with your device, you would contact Joyetech instead of the vendor that you bought it from? I ordered one off of eBay, cost about $55 for the entire kit and free priority mail shipping.

Whats this about the Kayfun style rebuildable coil base? I would be very interested in something like that... but is this really a thing? I wonder how much they will charge for it. It'd be nice not having to buy new heads all the time and just rebuild your own coil BUT then you wouldn't be buying their coil heads and thats probably what they want....

One week Egrip review:

Burnt dry hits have plagued me since getting my egrip 7 days ago. I make my own juice with as much VG as possible and I believe that to be the reason for my dry hits. Last night I disassembled the atomizer head and removed one of the two wraps found inside of the atomizer top cap.

Allow me to explain.

Use pliers to remove the "top cap" (the part with 4 juice slits).
Remove the two layers of material blocking the 4 slits in the top cap.
Replace only one layer of the material and reassemble the atomizer.

This and adjust your air bleed to be make the draw a little tighter cured my egrip dry hits at med/low wattages.

I love my Egrip!

I can't speak to the 2nd part of your post but as far as the one wattage number display, I don't think they're older review models.

At this time many vendors don't know what each batch will look like until they receive a shipment from Joyetech.

Personally I don't understand the inconsistency. I like seeing my numbers on the dial. All of them should be made that way.

The camo ones seem to have a more solid button, that's why I ask. I have black

Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Mine is black & the button is solid- I think they all should be made like this.
On the 2nd one which is also black, the button is a lil itty bitty loose- not enough for me to worry too seriously about.
