Still burned my atty right up. Even primed it before putting it in :( oh man im bummed... I am totally blown away by the fact that all 7 of the egrip coils came the way they did, no good. 2 that came with it and 5 from new pack. The coil legs are on the same side of the gasket. Darn near laying on top of one another??? 20141214_223114.jpg

But they are dual coil, so there should be 2 on each side of the grommet.

Okay, forgot they are dual... duh... then what could make it so that 4 out of 7 (thats all I tried) will cause the mod to act that way. Only way I got it to even begin to behave right was by using an aspire bvc with the egrip coil pin in place as mentioned by another member in this thread. So odd? I really appreciate everyones help and patience considering... I will try again tomorrow in a break from work. Until then input will be helpful. I don't want to contact vender til I feel like I know whats up. Got it as a gift and a return or replacement on anything I got will be a process. If I can avoid that by figuring it out, I'd be happier. I want this mod, so I hope with help I can make it work.

Okay, got mine tonight... but it won't fire :( . I push the button and it blinks? Any advice?
Mine wouldn't fire either, i found just a little too tight or too loose and she won't fire for me. Not talking very much tension either way but also not that touchy if that makes sense.

So the problem is, even the Aspire BVC coil (primed first) burns up as in its like the wattage is too high? And you have it set to the lowest wattage setting? How long does the coil last, one hit? What is your PG/VG percentage? What flavor are you running?

I can't run mine beyond the lowest or 2nd lowest wattage, I don't know if there is a problem with the VW circuit or not, because I can't get to the right places to test it. Might think about it for a while. Be nice to fit an external coil and measure the actual wattage. But I do get great flavor with the Aspire BVC coils, and am looking forward to getting the RBA.

I've got 15 extra coils & all of them look like this. Haven't had any issues with firing.

It's a dual-coil head.. It's correct to have the 2 leads where they are, and it wouldn't matter if they're touching. The other 2 ground leads are under the gasket. Be sure to prime them well before installing.

Okay, so priming to me is getting the coil good n wet prior to installation by wetting each wicking slot/hole. Been vaping a while and am positive I primed them properly. I am using 50/50 ratio, it is a watermelon cooler flavor from a vendor I use all the time. I have vaped these juices on my mvp and istick with both nautilus coils and in my silo light tanks at wattages above 8watts on those set ups without issue. It is definitely not a burnt juice taste I am getting but a burnt filler flavor. And yes on the first hit. Again, I tried 4 egrip coils and adjusted them all to tightly screwed in to loosely screwed in. Tried pulling egrip pin out a little to make sure it makes contact. Just put it on charger again and finally getting blinking light like it supposed to do when it charges. Oh wait, it just went totally dark, no.more lights. Doesn't the manual say its light should go solid when fully charged? I think I answered everyones questions. I am greatful for the help.

Since the coils are from two different sources, it does sound like it must be the unit. But, at least your nails are still pretty![emoji6]

The other things that Joyetech is putting out for the eGrip are the silicone covers (blue, seafoam green, black and pink) and the adapter (appears it will be sold separately) to test the coils you build and hopefully can be used to dry burn the coils. Joyetech eGrip I would say that those that drop their mods might want to invest in one of these (apparently silicone?) covers, but I'm not too fond of the color choices.View attachment 396114

Do you know of any vendors that are (or will be) selling the silicone skins? I want one BAD!:)
