My rba base is leaking out of the air hole. When the tank gets to less than half it starts to drip. The lower the tank gets the faster it drips. There are 4 holes in the outer sleeve to feed juice to the wick. 2of them line up with the wick. The other 2 line up with the terminal blocks. Going to need to block them somehow.
Overall, I am enjoying my egrip. I am currently using reos with omegas, stillares, and a mutation xv2. Wide open draws and lung hits. The stock coils on the egrip, the draw was just way to tight. I removed the base and drilled out the airholes, no change. The rba is still tight for me but soooooooo much better than the replaceable coils. Just need it to stop leaking!!!

I was an early adopter of the egrip. Mine had the USB socket problem. The retailer swapped it out about 6 weeks ago and it's still in the unopened box. I don't yet know if I've got a revised unit with a fix.

I drew a line in the sand, I'm not going to rebuild, I'm not going to rebuild, I'm... But now I've got to try one of the RBAs for the eGrip so I've lost that battle. But I figure I need to start rebuilding eventually in case the government tries to put the squeeze on us. (DIY juice is on the road map too.)

I had a leaking problem with the first egrip which was resolved by simply replacing the original coil. While I was sorting out the problem I put a paper napkin in the bottom of the pocket where I carried it.

Because of the way I work and the way I play I favor devices where the tank and power are side by side instead of stacked. I would go for a slightly larger Egrip 2 if that allowed for a replaceable battery and lower weight enclosure.

Could that be why it's leaking so much?

Finally got my replacement today from Vapor Beast. Had to get the silver since they was out of chrome, which I had. Very outstanding service from VB. Called me once they received my Egrip, and asked if I wanted a refund or replacement, told me then they had no chrome. Liked my chrome one better. This one has different markings for wattage, and the button seems loose. Guess, I'll see how this one holds up. If this one quits working, I'm done with the Egrip. Nice unit, but still needs some revisions done. Like quality control for one.

My RBA doesn't leak at all. Maybe check that wick or replace with a bit more.

I drilled the original base looking for better airflow. The airflow in the rba base is closer to what I was looking for. The rba base is the one that is leaking.

Im shocked anyone would need more air flow, I guess its subjective like many other things in this industry. I can imagine its very difficult to create a device that works for everyone. And I would like adjustable air flow on the RBA, its to airy for me. :)

A friend of mine has already plugged his rba airhole with JB Weld and re-drilled it to a smaller size. .040" I think. He's loving it now as a low wattage mouth to lung hitter. Nutt'n but wide open for me though!

So I was bored at work. To clean the tank, take the top cover off. Tank slides right out! Pretty thick glass!
The rba chimney has 4 feed holes for juice. 2 of them line up with the wick, the other 2 are behind the terminals. I re-wicked with shiseido cotton and stuffed a little bit behind the terminal feed holes. Hopefully this solves my leaking issue.
To the airflow issues, I am used to a much more open draw! Straight lung hits. Almost like I forgot how to do mouth to lung hits. The airflow on the rba is so much better than the stock base, for me. YMMV.
I can see how the airflow could be opened up on the stock base but it raises some questions. If you cut the tube off the bottom base. Drill out the hole in the base. Drill out the hole under the base. Drill out the holes in the stock base. It might be close to the draw of the rba. Would you possibly get battery vapors in the airstream?
If you remove the airtube from the top cover, it could be shortened where it press fits to the top. Then you could use other heads.
See above pics!

Was disappointed with this thing at first until I got my RBA. Put a short drip tip [semi wide] on it and rayon in the original coil because I burnt the factory wick in half putting it all together dry and hit the button by accident. Set on third largest mark on dial and I'm loving it.
Any input from others on battery life ?

For those of you not using the pre built coils, are you just estimating your build or using something to figure out your resistance? I'm wondering if I should still hold out for the adapter or just get the rba base now. Trying not to pay for shipping twice.

Multimeter works just fine for me.
