Now I'm experiencing an issue where I'll pick it up and press the button but nothing happens the first time. However when I release the button and press it again it works. Not a huge issue obviously but just another thing that shouldn't be happening and wasn't during the first week I had it. Anyone else experience this?

Only had that problem when the rba post screws or positive airtube screw wasn't tight. Keep us posted on your findings dawg...

Ok, just wondering since I haven't been finding any info on it. One person advised me to keep it on a low setting if using the 2.1. I just don't want to ruin anything

I don't think it'll hurt anything to run a 2.1ohm coil in the egrip. You'll be vaping at 14.4 watts max though....even if you turn it up to 20w.

Mine is leaking like crazy with the rba base. It leaks from the airhole and -screw and the seam on the bottom. Not to mention the leaking from the base itself. Considering using stock coils again, because I can't take it out with me with all this leaking.

You can check for a few things that are known causes.

1. Check for tiny clear silicone seal on the rba base just below the bottom of the chimney.

2. Check for tightness of the center screw in the bottom of the rba base.

3. Check for metal debris at the bottom of the chimney threads in the rba base.

4. Make sure the rba base is tightened in all the way. Should be flush or slightly recessed in reference to the egrip bottom cover.

5. Wick heavier and make sure that cotton is visible through all four juice holes of the chimney.

6. ?

To give you an update, after doing a lot of online research I went ahead with the Aspire 2.1ohm BVC and modded it for the eGrip and it works very well with a lot of extra flavor profiles. I don't want to break the rules here and paste the link to my blog with my review on it but, I definitely recommend the Aspire coils. They enhanced the eGrip even more :)

I know I don't post much....but I'm on week 5 with the stock RBA coils that came with my replacement and backup Egrip. Will probably dry burn the coils and rewick tomorrow.

For the "leakers" out there....I always get one big drop after I refill, then it stabilizes. So I refill it, and set it on a paper towel or something. After that, I'm good to go.

Now I'm just wishing I was coil-nerdy enough to get into building my own.

I checked all the seals and none are missing. I did tighten the centerscrew but previously, that didn't make any difference.
I built a new coil (1.3 ohm), wicked it quite heavy with muji and made really sure the wicks covered all the juiceholes by fanning out the wick.

Almost vaped a full tank and so far not a drop of liquid hs leaked out. Not through the airhole, not from the rba-base, nowhere!

So thank you so much for your helpful tips, they did make a difference for sure! No more 'normal cotton' in the eGrip either, this baby needs muji!
Edit: the eleaf GSAir coils fit too don't they?
