On the top-fill cap:
That looks a lot like the KF top-fill cap, except they left out the holes on the top part. With the extra holes, you would simply twist the top part to line up the holes, needle fill, then twist tight to close off the holes. The o-rings seal off any air, if the tolerances are right (I had to beef up the tiny o-rings and sand down the top part on mine). Unscrew the whole top part and you wouldn't have to needle fill. It was a drag though - you'd still have to cover the bottom air holes AND the top chimney (I made a plastic plug for that), which was kinda awkward to do, then do the flip-upside-down-and-finish-tightening thing. I stopped using it. If you're gonna go through all of that anyway, might as well just unscrew the whole top cap and do the Q-Tip thing. Then you'd have a much bigger opening and can fill a lot faster.
