After about 50 different kanthal builds on my STmini rbas the best flavor I've ever gotten has been a spaced, 6 wrap, twisted 28g, 2.8 mm, .70 ohm. I've never been able to get as good of flavor with duals, parallels or verticals. This Subox kit was my first vape and I fell in love with it at first sight. It has practically everything I'll ever need. I do have a couple questions for the more experienced users. Which is the best coil build for flavor using the RBA deck? Right now, I made a standard 26g 5 wrap at .5, but I am interested in doing a dual coil build next. Is it better to build a dual coil on a single wire or should I build two separate coils? Also, does a vertical build give better flavor than a dual coil in your experience or vice versa? Thank you so much for your advice.
What cotton do you use just out of interest please ?After about 50 different kanthal builds on my STmini rbas the best flavor I've ever gotten has been a spaced, 6 wrap, twisted 28g, 2.8 mm, .70 ohm. I've never been able to get as good of flavor with duals, parallels or verticals.
Ko Gen Do Japanese organic cotton. If I couldn't taste ccrayon I'd be using that; it wicks a little faster than KGD. In either case I have found that wicking super heavy is the key to flavor, high power and wick longivity. What cotton do you use just out of interest please ?
Yup yup, that's what I have, thank you. I'm a terrible builder, really I have always been rubbish, every time my coil just floods, no matter what ohm or how much or less cotton I use. Might try again today on the Subtank V2 deck. I don't hold much hope though.Ko Gen Do Japanese organic cotton. If I couldn't taste ccrayon I'd be using that; it wicks a little faster than KGD. Rixsta, flooding with a STmini rba? Whaaat? What makes you think you're flooding with a V1 rba? If you are leaking out of the afc you have a seal leak somewhere in the tank because the V1 rba will not leak even without a coil or wick. The V2 (plus) rba however will leak if not wicked, or wicked properly, because of the new juice hole design.Yup yup, that's what I have, thank you. I'm rockn' a 96 S10 Blazer with 283k on the original engine........never mind, 235hp isn't exactly muscle is it?My Corrolla brethern. I'm rockin an 04 with 195k on the clock!
I used to use a wicking method I found on youtube, it's been posted here a few times, where the cotton is thinned out and slighly off the deck. With flooding, I would get gurgling and juice coming up every single time I built one, I mean, there were no hotspots, and I built around 0.9 ohm and as far as I know the coil was fine. This happened on both my subtank Mini's , I bought two for switching flavours, I know, lazy, but yeah hahaRixsta, flooding with a STmini rba? Whaaat? If you think you're flooding because you're getting hot harsh hits that's a different story but rare on a V1 rba; generally peeps complain about burny hits which often can be attributed to underwicking or bad coil symmetry. Anyway, let us know bro.
