Maybe I'm just a little slow and not up on all the hip lingo or something. Never heard grape smuggler before....I googled grape smuggler. Damnit....shouldn't have done that.

I'd never heard it before either, but didn't really need to look it up in order to figure out what it meant. I have a REALLY good imagination.

Saw the oncoming truck and trailer swerving and hit my brakes. The rock was windshield height when it bounced of the road and launched in the air into my lane. Damage doesn't look too bad but for a 96 I'm sure it's a total........stressed.....@#&%$!*&$!%#!!!!!

Oh,((( Cig)))

So sorry. What a terrible experience. Glad you're OK, though!

Dropped my tank and it landed on the drip tip and the tip snapped off clean with the tank... It's all good but I can't find the original replacement black drip tip...all the ones at the local B&M's fit loose and the silcone ones fall out easy in my pocket.
Anyone know where I can get one?
Make sure you find one with 2 orings. If it fits loosely put a single stand of dental floss under the orings. It will make the tip fit a little tighter.

Sorry if this is a bit off-topic, not directly related to the Subox, she-males or kittens... :?:

@hashtag you mentioned that you mixed your own juices and specifically fruity blends. I've been having some strange behavior with fruit juices on the Subtank RBA. The problem is harshness. Not like a throat hit or a burnt hit, just a scratchy throat hit. It's very random, but it most frequently happens with the first few hits. Sometimes it will smooth out and be great, then it will come back again. The RBA builds are from 0.5 ohm to 1.2 ohm, 2.5mm ID, spaced, with both 26G and 28G, but the coil build doesn't seem to be a contributing factor. The juices are 50VG/50PG to 70VG/30PG, and are only pure fruit blends that have the problem. I don't have this problem with dessert/creamy/custard blends. Have you experienced this before? Any tips/pointers?

I vape predominantly fruit blends, and haven't experienced this. Maybe it's the flavors that you're using? I can't really say, since I'm not mixing my own juice though (at least not yet).

Can you give me more details? VG/PG? Coil build? Watts? Wicking? AFC setting? It's got to be something I'm missing.

Is there any chance you mixed in a little too much nic accidentally? I did that once. It was a little harsh off and on during the day....especially first thing in the morning.

If not, you may just be experiencing a floody wick from being slightly under powered, or your airflow may be set too restrictive in comparison to your draw effort; try drawing slightly lighter.

I usually just rewick when I things get weird on me like that.

@cigatron, I'm not mixing my own juice (yet), this are bought-off-the-internet fruity juices. I think you may be onto something with your second paragraph. My airflow is always wide open, but there may be something with the wicking and/or power. I've heard a few terms about the wick itself, like you've said a "floody" wick, someone else (in a different thread) mentioned "choking" a wick. I'm assuming this is the "tautness" of the wick inside the coil? Thanks for the tips. I'll report back if I make any breakthroughs.

Well, I'm not original but 1/2 of my snail mail showed up today. Still waiting on drip tips and a coiling jig. Notice the paint wear on the bottom of the mod and certain areas around the tank itself. This thing rides in a pocket getting pulled out and slid back in all day.

I recently watched RIP Trippers review of the new Subtank RBA plus and he mentioned a lot of spit back. Just wondering if a lot of others have noticed the same thing? I was going to get one for my orginal Sub-tank mini. Thanks.
I only got spit back when I mixed some eliquid over 50/50. My normal 70/30 does not pop like high VG juice.

I'm no expert in wicking but I got tired of dealing with the pre-built coils. Cotton seems to burn real easy then its all down hill from there. I threw on the RBA today and get the snap crackle pop with it using 50/50 juice. No flooding or anything though. The pre-built coils were doing the same thing for me though.

I went from the .5 VOCC coil that I put in last night to the RBA with a .5 coil in it in a span of about 5 minutes and the flavor was so much more noticeable with the RBA. Both were at 20 watts. At this point I am going to have to give the RBA a fair shake on the Subox to see how things go.

Any juice will spit if underpowered. VG has a higher boiling point than PG so it needs more power. Rip should have recognized that the V2 rba he was vaping was getting floody. Don't hate, just sayn', theres always a reason for spitting and it's never the atty's fault. Could be underwicked, overwicked, underpowered, overheated or have a poorly wound coil.
