the only thing tht I am curoius about is when will the new RBA mini Plus come out sepeartly because i would lke to buy two more , What I do with my current subtank , i have 3 RBAs , two of them are always wicked with unsaturted cotton to make it easier for me when changing flavors , all of them have drilled out juice channels and perform amazing . , I would much rather buy 2 or 3 if the new RBAs and do what i am doing now than spending money on OCC coils . What I do , having multiple RBAs ready to go completely eliminates the purpose of the OCC coil heads , not to mention that the new ones are vertical and I have NEVER had good experiance with vertial coils , too much airflow , too little vapor , not good enoguht flavor

I read somewhere that the painted metal is a zinc alloy. It's very light.
Yeah... Something is Strange.

What is going on at "12 O'clock" and at "1 O'clock"? It looks like there is Metal Missing of something?

Oh, I think those are water droplets, I had just taken it out of the ultrasonic!

yes zinc diecast (alloy) would be lighter than stainless steel. going by the picture posted of the rust inside the top cap is odd. zinc has white rust as opposed to ferrous metal(steel) having brown rust. stainless steel means just that. it stains less. less than regular steel. lower grades of stainless steel will rust over time if left in moist conditions. lower grades of SS will be magnetic and high grades will be non-magnetic. it also looks to me like there is some type of washer inside the top cap going by the photo posted. i have 38 years in the metal finishing industry and i`m baffled by the photo of the rust. when i take parts into my shop i have to know what the base metal is to determine how to process it. a magnet will tell you if it is steel or possibly cheap stainless. non magnetic can be brass, copper, aluminum or zinc or various other metals. if a part is not magnetic i would scratch through the paint or plating in a hidden area to see the base metal to determine what it is. i have a subox kit getting here thursday but don`t feel like going through the paint to see what the base metal is. if this painted tank is not made of SS its not a good thing for us or kanger.

Fully agree, it's in the box ready to be sent back, when I get a new one I'll do a magnet test all over the tank.
Also, those imperfections, apart from the massive stains are just water droplets as I had just taken it out of the ultrasonic.

But yeah, I'm pretty shocked, though it IS normal and I was already expecting lower grade materials due to the price, just wasn't expecting this. After having owned 316 SS attys I'd easily pay for a subtank made with that, the difference is insane, I had an erlkonigin and it was almost like it cleaned itself.

Kanger likes to re-release products quite a bit it seems. I'm guessing the third iteration of the subox will have TC.

They use the apple model. Add one feature per release and people will buy the same thing over and over.

I think the TC coils were just put out there to gauge the market. When they are selling enough of the coils to show a worthwhile market share is interested then they will release a TC product.

That's really got me bugged. They have the Geni-tanks which were economy versions of the aerotank line and I haven't heard compliants like that and I'm pretty sure there would be since chrome over brass falls under the microsope.

This won't go over well since most people have experienced quality SS atty by now. I'm surprised no one else has mentioned anything similar. It makes me wonder what's going on ...

It certainly ensures I'll be giving mine a thorough inspection. I looked at some of my other subtanks last night to see if anything like that was going on and couldn't see anything like that at all.

Really wish it jad temperature Control , like why give the Subtank Mini Copper Coils and not make the new Kit compatible with TC ?

Innokin didn't release TC with their Cool Fire IV either. A good share of the recent TC mini boxes appear to have been rushed in the qc department. I'm not surprised that some manufacturers are waiting. Sigelei should have a 75w TC at the first of next month. Innokin's implied their all wire TC will appear about then too. I'm sure Kanger's working on something.

Do we have a Kanger rep on this forum? If not, did you contact Kanger? Lets get those questions answered! I am sure everyone here would like to know if Kanger lowered the Subtanks quality.

There goes another 80 bucks out of my wallet. I hadn't seen this until I looked it up just now. I really like Sigelei products they are one of the brands that always just works and does what it is supposed to do. The battery door on both sides is kind of weird, I cna't think of any product of any kind that has done that before.

I doubt we have a kanger rep here, I've never seen anything from Kanger that made me think they have any english speaking employees.

Sorry for not having read the whole thread. I can't get the new BVC 1.5 ohm coils, so I just have one. It is definitely paint coated brass, you can tell by the weight. But I don't mind, I've vaped on coated brass before and I see no problem. But, tootle puffers beware, the smallest hole is airy.
