Yesterday I received the 6 VTC5's that I ordered from Orbtronics. What I like about them is that they're 30 amp batteries like my Orbtronics SX30's, but they are 2500 mah rather than 2100 mah. On my SX Mini, the joule counter shows that my SX30's last me for between 25,000 and 26,000 joules and my 2500 mah Samsung 25R's last me for just over 31,000 joules. I'm waiting for my Snow Wolf to arrive before I start using the Sony's.

And I just received my package from fasttech today.....3 RBA Pluses. So now I have the new style RBA for all of my Subtank Minis.

Could you do a screen shot of one battery top up and one top down with the text under the wrapper showing? I ordered my VTC5's from Orbtronics way back when they weren't being cloned yet and I would like a comparison shot of yours.

*edit*
I will just take Orbtronic word on them being authentic, I'm sure they are.

I have the authentic plus on order. I just drilled holes in my other 2 rba, so those should be pretty nice now also.

    RBA heaven! :)

    In my tests I got the following results, when discharged to 3.2V @ 20A, approx. mAh...
    25R = 1350mAh
    SX30 = 1000mAh
    VTC5 = 950mAh

    Samsung 25R Blue Wrap 20A 2500mAh Bench Test Results...a great 20A cell | E-Cigarette Forum

    Sony VTC5 20A 2600mAh Bench Test Results...a good 20A cell | E-Cigarette Forum

    Orbtronic SX30 30A 2100mAh Button-Top 18650 Bench Test Results...a 23A cell at best | E-Cigarette Forum

    The tests did find that the SX30 and VTC5 got too hot above 20A to ensure decent cycle life, which is why I gave them 20A ratings, but in a mod they're pulsed and will run cooler. Please post your VTC5 joule count! It seems that they should give you almost the same joule count as the SX30.

    Not to derail the battery line but does anyone have a list of good places to get the Subox? Most places have doubled (or more) the cost of these online. I bought one and am looking for another for my friend and wife and really dont want to ship from China or spend 80 for the kit.
    Thanks!

    I've purchased both of my kits, extra tank, and coils from this company and have had a good experience with quick (free) shipping.

    *edit* Apologies are due for my contribution to the batt comment shift. I should've known it's always a hot button topic.

    I never owned the original Subtank because at the time I had recently purchased two other RTAs. When the new version came out I was interested again but wasn't too fond of the ceramic coating inside/outside of the tank - although the improved RBA was enticing. I hoped/expected Kanger to release a stainless steel version of the Subtank Mini V2 so when they did I was like a kid in a candy store. I bought it immediately and received it a couple of days ago. My patience paid off because yes the new RBA works fantastic and the flavor is plentiful. I haven't tried the OCC coils yet. Kanger really nailed it with this new RTA. As far as the mod, no floating 510 pin was a let down for me personally so I never bought the Subox kit (although I seriously considered it numerous times while contemplating whether or not to click the submit button while it was sitting in my cart) but as I understand it Kanger may be releasing a new version with a floating pin as well as better accuracy at lower ohms (temperature control would be nice too wouldn't it?!)...if/when that happens, I'll be like a kid in a candy store again.
