It looks fairly easy to rebuild the coil but I think I will let the ppl in the know work the bugs out and make easy enough for a cave man to do then I will try

The first B&M local to me has occ coils in today... 20 plus tax for 5 1.2ohm, so just under 23$. That's better than the 40 it was going to cost to ship from Toronto.
Nice packaging with authenticity stuff on the box. I was paying 17$ (tax inc) for 5 dual coils locally or 10$ plus shipping if ordered from canvape (registered supplier here) so 23 for these occ coils is not so far of a leap. They last a long time and I will be attempting rebuild on the cores.

Check atomizer... the old style dual coils don't work in mine. Not that it's a big deal but I was hoping to be able to use them while waiting for the real thing to get here in the mail... the reviews like pbusardo said they did work. No problem... RBA time.

I'm exclusively using the RBA for the tank, much better IMO than the stock coil options (cheaper too)

What ohm and what gauge do you build yours at?

I'm using 28g 2mm 5 wrap and getting 0.7-0.8 with that build. Keep in mind I'm not cloud chasing and don't like hot vapor. This is getting me thick / rich vapor which I prefer. Using Japanese organic cotton, no dry hits, no leaks, no popping. Haven't even had to change the cotton and have had 4 refills so far (using light juice though - Wakonda).

I posted in a different Kanger sub thank thread I too am looking to do what you have done. Some where between .5 and 1.2 single coil. To me this is why the sub tank beats the aspire atlantis

Exactly, for me it was my first rebuildable tank, I wanted a sub ohm tank and a rebuildable, so two in one. Now I have a Billow, Orchid V4, and 2 LEMOs, but the Kanger performing better than those at the moment (and better than my Atlantis).

I wonder if anyone is still using the good ol' Evic with the RBA (1.6ohm, single coil - my Kayfun standard) and have run into the same problem I just got. It claims "Atomizer short", but if I put the subtank on any other mod it works just fine.

Try attaching it with and without the beauty ring. It sounds liek there may be an issue with the way the SubTanl's 510 interacts with contacts in the Evic.

Hey, anyone else having a problem with the Subtank seeping juice from around the bottom glass tank gasket? It's not a flood, just a seep, but it's annoying.

Yeah ... but it went away after I took that gasket out and cleaned it again. It's too thin...my opinion. Hasn't leaked since I gave it a clean with warm water.

I have no luck with those stock coils. It spits leaks out the air hole and has a muted flavor. I tried rewicking and different watts and got the same results. Not sure what the deal is. Using a 50/50 liquid. I tried again last night and got the same result.
Back in went the RBA section. Dual 26g coils and I'm happy again. The coils that came with the RBA weren't so bad either.

Right behind you...
Nope not a drop have you given it a good cleaning to make sure it fits good when you tighten it down?

Yeah, looks like the o-ring just isn't expanded enough or the glass is just a hair too large in diameter. The glass tube spins very freely, friction with just one clean finger can rotate it.

It's been a bit chilly in the house though, contraction might have something to do with it, but if so, it's still above 60f in here.

Kanger SubTank is assume on my Sigelei 100w box mod. Been vaping 32.5 watts on the .5 rebuildable head. No intentions of ever using the stock coils that came with mine. On the Sigelei you have to use the reducer that comes with the subtank as mine would not fire without it. Spent 2 hours at the store today setting it all up and testing the pair with the owners. They just got the 100 watt Sigelei and subtanks in today. Was an enjoyable day but could not walk out the door without owning the pair . LOL

VapeMail!

I'm sorta getting on board with the glassomizer coils, the .5ohm head is too hot on my mech's for me but down around 22-25watts on the sigelei is really good. I'm hopeful the 1.2 ohm head is more to my liking on the panzer otherwise its likely just going to stay in rba mode.
