Um.. my bubble has been slightly burst. Saw a vid and the guy's LED of the flashlight comes on every time the fire button is pressed. Not too bright but still. What you guys think? Any fixes to be had?

Are you certain? I thought it only did that after he switched on a particular mode? Link to the video please?

Only one I was able to find (granted I didn't look that hard), seems to be the one mentioned.

Yes sir that's the one! I am told that my Black is stuck in customs according to AngelCigs. I think I should have went with my gut and go the FT route. I RARELY do pre-order but when I do .... this .... happens..

Damn yeah I see what you mean! Christ, what a brain dead decision.

This is not going to be a popular mod methinks.

Only hope now is that the light that shines always is not too bright and annoying.

Yea that isn't good to hear, I would be using this in the evening while watching TV and only a lamp on, don't want a light coming on while I vape, that will get annoying real fast.

I don't think that was the actual flashlight in use while it was firing. Looks to me its from the LED from the firing button thats causing to light up. Probably should of enclosed the LED to not reflect through the lens me thinks.

How do you mean 'LED from the firing button'?

It looks like it's lighting up to me - seems quite clearly a blue glow from the LED. As seen at this point in the video.

So you guys think the light we see through that lens is light escaping from internally, like from the screen?

Possible.. but then it was listed in the original specs that it had "two light modes" - which makes me think this is the second of those 'modes'. If it's not, there's no sign of how to get the second mode - we've seen the hold +/- which is the full light, and we've seen this blueish light on fire.

See here on the original pics:

In that second one we can even see him pressing fire, it looks like (hard to tell exactly)

Given those two photos were amongst the 5 or 6 original product photos, I think that blue light surely has to be a 'feature', not just bad design of light being reflected from internally.

Anyway I guess we'll know for certain tomorrow when Nailz gets his!

Yeah, I think the main way this will annoy me in practice is not that the light is actually bad, just that it's so damn stupid they did it in the first place!

Rightly or wrongly, I think it's going to put a lot of people off this mod. And that's so silly - all they had to do was the obvious thing of giving you an optional light. Why they had to over-egg the feature I will not understand. Even if the light level is negligible, people will complain it's needlessly draining the battery - which is it, albeit probably to a very small extent. The problem though is that even if it's a tiny amount, people will think/assume it's a big amount, and every time they get 7 minutes less vaping time from a battery than "they should", they'll assume it's the light. If they even buy the mod in the first place.

I hate it when a good design is needlessly spoilt by dumb crap like this :(

Oh well, fingers crossed it's not as bad as it seems! I'm still holding out some hope that there's some way to disable that on-vape light, perhaps a menu option that turns it on/off. That would be sensible. Hope springs eternal..

Open up the top part of the mod, clip the bulb off.... problem solved... if they complain about it too much lol

Just got home to my mini vf
    6H6ct5u.jpg

1st thing I noticed, this feels as well made as the full size kangxin vapor flask, like the feel of it in the hand and like the display.

The fire button and light do glow blue when firing, still light here so can't say yet if that blue light will bother me or not.

The flashlight works pretty easy, and has 2 modes, normal and strobe, can't see me using it, and still wish they had left it off, but some might find it useful.

In all I happy with the mod, it feels good and looks good, as long as that blue light isn't glowing bright in my face when dark, I can over look the flashlight, it is a lot more compact and more comfortable to hold than the full size vapor flask, but my full size vapor flask will still be rotation too :)

One other thing I don't like, they put the usb charge port on the bottom of the mod, so have to lay it down to charge if want to use the usb charger, they should of stuck it on the back like the full size vapor flask, would of thought manufacturers would know by now, we don't like usb ports on the bottom of the mod.
