New Lave Tube 2.0 - Problems

So I took delivery of my new lava tube 2.0 today to use with my vivi nova - thought it would make a change from my ego twist and I can stock up on spare batteries.

I put the battery in the charger before use and the light was green - but flashed red every 20 secs or so. I thought this was strange but there were no instructions with the charger so i left it for a couple of hours. No change and I decided to try it with my tank. 5 clicks and away we go....... or not.

Cant get the thing to turn on, have tried the battery both ways round, have i got a faulty unit / battery / both?

Any ideas?

UPDATE: I have just noticed that it doesnt actually say lavatube on the side so I think I may have been sold a dud. Shame as I got the suppliers name from this forum.

Got any pics of it? Also, a multimeter is a must for ecigs really as it allows you to check voltage and resistance. I would be curious to know the voltage of your new battery

Hi Hudson.......I have three lavatubes. They have different names depending on which vender you bought it from.
Lambo, LRider, Vtube, MyGo, etc. It probably is a lavatube. Contact your vender. Good Luck!

I have now got the unit to come on but when I press the big button to produce vapour I get the message Lo ???

Any ideas anyone???

Maybe it's the battery? Mine are all 18650 flat tops. Wish I could help!

Lo means that whatever you have screwed on has too low restance, try a different carto or atty.

Thanks guys - Problem solved - my coils were 1.2Ω and the min for lavatube is 1.3Ω.

Now I have another problem - what kind of wire do i need to double the resistance of my coils. I was using Kanthal A1 Heat Resistance Wire - 0.25mm - presumably 0.5mm will double the resistance???

What do you mean by twice 0.12mm I only started making coils this week so I just bought a random wire and watched a youtube video

Please don't take this wrong just trying to help you, but it sounds like you are trying to use a RBA on a VV device, with out doing proper research. Also switching ends on the batty. in the charger is not a good idea, you can kill the batty. Most VV devices like a Lavatube will check the Omh on the coil before it will fire. If you want a low Omh coil then you need a Mech Mod. So what you need to do is make a new coil with more wraps to increase the Ohms so the lavatube will fire.
