I received a generous sampling of the Nitro line from an enabler that knows no rival.

Haven't tried em' yet, they scare me.

Dual coil and only one wick hole? In as much as I tend to stay with thick VG liquids.... it seems it could get scary!

The aforementioned enabler also included cartos from the Fusion line. Tried a couple and they seem worth the pennies but must use them more to really say I LIKE EM'!

The Nitro scare me Fran 0-:

well, i've had a chance to try both the filled and pro versions in single coil with both high vg and 50/50 to high pg. they both work fantastic with 50/50 or higher pg IME, but don't wick well at all with high vg.

seems Isaac is working on getting something up his sleeve to remedy the high vg users if i understand correctly.

1- The filled version of the Nitro works well with 50/50. It's a cross between the old Platinums and Smoktech cartos. The advantage of having one hole instead of 2 in a less dense filler is that:

A- it doesn't flood as fast as the smoktech
B- leak on battery contact as the smoktech
C- Draw tightens after a couple of tank fills like the Platinum
D- Easier to Prime than than the Platinum

*** the above examples occur mostly with chain vaping but do occur in normal use as well *******

I have tried the Nitro filler one hole and love it. I just wish they were a 2.8 - 3.0 ohms. By the way, I have only tried the single coil and 50/50 juice only.

2- The Pro version from the Nitro line is basically like vaping a clearo ex. Protank, EVOD, etc. It is not marketed this way but to be very basic, it simply provides an option to use your carto tank like a clearo.

3- The Platinum line will be back.

A follow up to a post I made a while back in this thread.

510 MEGA Nitro DCT ProCoil V2 - I have now tried 5 of these all with 50/50 juice. No love here. Not wicking correctly for me.

The first coil I didn't 'prime' as I read it was not required - on 2 of these I saturated the visible part of the wick the best I could from both sides. Still no love.

This last one I went so far as to remove a few strands of wick before I primed and tried - no luck.

I have a handful remaining and I think I will try removing all of the wick and replacing with cotton to see what happens.

In theory this carto should work like a dream, I just cant seem to get it right.

Looking forward the reworked Mega's.

I've tried both the Smok and the Ikenvape...I think they are identical.

The Ikenvape Nitro is definitely not the same as the Smok or the Boge. One hole that will feed 50/50? Not with a those. The filler in the nitro really soaks up the juice. I've been through way too many Boge and Smok cartos in the last year and a half. These Nitros are the most consistent carto I've used.

Well the ones i posted a link to are fillerless and that appears to be what Pocha was responding about. ;)

The ones i was referring to are fillerless and new so i doubt you ever tried both of them in the distant past.

They still look EXTREMLY similar in design and function to a SMOK DCT ProCoil hence the similar IKV name {ProCoil). Who is the only company that commonly manufactures and sells dual coil cartos?...SMOK maybe because ive seen no others in any quantity ever?

My money is on they are identical rebranded SMOKs. Considering Boge (the IKV former supplier)and SMOK make over 90% of cartos, its a damn good bet. Who else would you imagine makes them?....Kanger?

I really cant see SMOK or Boge doing much retooling to a Chinese factory to accommodate the specs of a relatively small supplier in the states. The lack of current availability speaks volumes to this conclusion.

Thats a bummer because i really don't like most SMOK cartos even though i can get them locally. The plain SMOK 1.7ohm XLs i get locally are only $1.39 and work pretty good as a stand alone but i hate punching cartos for tanks. All the SMOK DCT cartos ive tried leaked or gurgled badly even with 40PG/60VG and were horrible with 70/30. Pretty much unusably within minutes of filling.

Until QC and supply improves a great deal, im sticking with disposable 510 atties and RDAs. Ive got one last box of the older IKVs for my IBtanked. Its far more convenient for when im not home IF you dont get a dud.

I also had the same lack-luster performance from the DCT back when they came out as I do the 5 I got from Issac.. They werent horrible, but just not saturated enough with juice unless you drip into them to get a good vape.. So you are probably correct that they might be or are made by Smok. I was hoping these would be different and would work for me. Others said they liked them as I remember.. I am talking about the fillerless, not the ones that have filler.. Those may be very good, idk..

Sorry, my bad. Now that I go back and actually pay attention, you are correct.

Hmmm. Well, the Smok version I tried actually seemed to wick a little better (50/50 juice) than the Ikenvape. I didn't like the Ikenvape Pro Coil AT ALL. Weird flavor, burnt hits. I bought 2 so I still have one more to try but I'm not a fan of EITHER of these, especially compared to their regular cartos. Just my opinion. And I still think the IKV's are rebranded Smoks. Maybe they are "tweaked" a bit for IKV...but that's about it.

Edit: just saw Patrick H's comment acknowledging you weren't talking about the ProCoils but the filled cartos.
