New Luxotic from Wismec - the MF

This is an unusual one from Wismec. It can be used as a 21700 single battery squonker or you can remove the squonk bottle and convert it to a dual battery box mod. It also has a user-replaceable control board that switches it from a VV mod to an unregulated mod (as best I can determine from their product info). You can even replace the 510.

What I'm really curious about is the replaceable control board. There must be some sort of harness in the mod to avoid having to solder connections.

I agree, the skulls, bee hives, and flashing lights have all gotten old to me. It's nice to see some more mature looking devices.

Okay, Wismec, you got my attention. Now, don't screw it up by using a janky, leaky squonk 510 like the original Luxotic. If could be a contender if priced the same or lower than the Pico Squeeze 2.

With the versatility of this mod, I wouldn't mind If it were to cost a little more.

I'm seeing pre-orders showing up from $55-80 for the kit. I'm not interested in the RDA, so I guess I'll be waiting for the box to be available seperately.

I have no interest in the RDA either, but I would like to see a kit with both chips in it. Hopefully that becomes avaliable, or at least the chips being sold separately.

Same here on both avoiding a pre-order and no interest in the RDA. This is also a mod that I’m going to want to see some in-depth reviews on, rather than the ‘take it out of the box, show it, and call it good’ style of “review.” The board swap ability has me really interested, provided it actually works as it should.

Yeah, the one without the screen is unregulated, with protections.

I never got into the pre-order thing on anything. I always saw it as paying to be a tester. I like waiting on feedback from the people that must have the newest stuff.

First review of it is up. The board swap does look very easy (it's shown at about the 13 min mark).

Highly doubt it as this is VV regulated only.. no TC or VW regulating no boost. Just higher or lower voltage. Basically it's a digital potentiometer box. From what I've seen so far.

Gotta look at this one been wanting g a simple VV squonk. WOULD Rather 2 BATTERIES IN Squonk MODE BUT I CAN Live WITH A Single 21700. Dual batteties to power a RDTA is also good.. if it still does VV on 2 batteries.

Replaceable 510 caught my eye? This is one I want to go for pre-order but my last pre-order(Anita squonk mod) turned out to be a waste of money.

They don't list if the kit,or single comes with both boards or where to purchase the other board from? I do like the idea and the form factor and being able to replace my own parts . This might get a pre-order from me too hard to resist?

Note the mod is not Squonk Capable from what I see..... the atty just comes with a pin so it can be used on a squonker.

It's just another Noisy Cricket variant.

And the 1 pic they show of a squonker has the hole on tbe 20700 side.....where the 510 is... if so in squonk mode it's single 18650 in feed mode..... as the mod is single 2xxxx or dual/single 18650.

Need more info.
