What kind of clearomizers (first ones you mentioned) did you get?

As with regular atomizers. The coil and wick has to be kept saturated in order for optimal performance to be achieved. With almost every type of Clearomizer. You have to tip them over every 5 drags or so to feed the coil. Which is why your getting a lot of dry hits.

I had the same problem with my Vision Clearo V3's. At first I thought they were thebomb until I went camping. Pre-filled clearos in a tupperware, 6 hour drive later I open the lid and the clearos were empty with juice everywhere.

What may help with the dry hits is tilting and twirling every few pulls, resaturates the wicks closer to the coil. Also, clearos tend to thicken juice. Starts being noticeable around 1/2 way down, by the time it's 1/3 full it's syrup.

Do you still have these CLearos, could you take a picture and post it?

What type of Juice are you using? Something that is say 100% PG will have a tougher time in a top Coil styled Clearomizer. I know with my Kanger T2s I was having constant issues with Dry Hits in the morning. So it would take me about five minutes to clear our the crap and have it vaping good and proper again. Also I was using DeKang juice at that time. So as far an I'm concerned about DeKang juice after using a good quality American juice, it is -the DeKang since it is the subject of this sentence- IS CRAP.

I'm 100% behind trying to buy American Made offerings and products, especially when it comes to eJuices and eLiquids. The DeKang stuff cannot compare to something that is freshly made in the States and matures over time. I'm just started to figure that one out as of late.

You are using a wick I personally don't like them I stick with Cartomizers and tank for everyday use. Mom and Pops submarine tank or texas tuff tank are a good start. I really like my Phiniac tanks.
You might also consider getting a VV mod Lava tubes are good Theres some great American made ones the Joker or buzzpro are affordable and over the long hall you save money.
Personally I think the Joker is better quality but both are good.

Just started using e-cig brand that comes with a battery and a cartridge that screws into the battery. How does the "juice" work? How does it compare to what I'm using? I hope it isn't wishful thinking but I believe I am cutting way down on the regular cigarettes.
My kit came with one of the cartidges, I didn't like it, the juice is much better tasing, u can get almost any flavor u can think of.. I use clearos, I just fill it with juice then screw it on the battery an vapeas , it tastes so good! I haven't smoked in a month an wouldn't go back. I just ordered choclate, an apple pie flavors in the juice im excited to taste them. My favorite is dragon blood! I get my juice from juicyvapor, they have good prices an if u sign up to get there emails you get coupons...

Their prices aren't really that good. That's what I thought at first too. I'd suggest checking out Nitelitevapors thread here. When you run out of your juice they should be back in business. Their "bounty hunter," from what I read, is supposedly the best stuff around and you can get a 130ml "Jug" for $40 plus there is a 5% coupon in the coupon section of this site. The carto's you were inquiring about is what everyone is referring to used in conjunction with a tank. If you can find a tank and cheap cartos you can punch/slot a hole in the bottom of it and slide it into the tank which wicks up the juice keeping it saturated and supposedly bursting with flavor. I'm new to the whole tank thing too but there are many great sources here on the process of mating the two together in perfect harmony. Good luck to you. If you are in the Union Gap area of WA, we don't have a local brick and mortar source and have to rely on the net for our needs, send me a PM maybe we can get together at a coffee shop and I can let you try out my mod that is coming and show you what I'm talking about... as soon as my new stuff arrives.

To anyone reading I am a new member myself and am not trying to proclaim myself an expert just want to share the knowledge that I've been gaining these last few weeks scrubbing the archives at ECF and know firsthand it can be overwhelming. Thanks.

I don't know about ecig's gear but started off with a smoov 808 which was in the shape of a regular cigarette but the cartridge top came off so you could add juice to and keep the wick saturated. The saturated wick is what creates the vapor. All these "high status" forum members use juice and use various devices to heat an element to make the juice vaporize. You should start your own thread and tell everyone exactly what you just said. You will have a ton of members coming to your aid with the best places to buy a super cheap ego battery, charger, and cartomizers. I kind of like the clearomizer with the interchangeable heads but am a heavy vapor user and am thinking that once I have a juice tank I can buy cheap boge cartomizers, cut a slot in them, and vape longer with replacing the burnt cartos alot less. I hear you can boil and reuse the cartomizers too! I'm doing that with my interchangeable coil heads also and so far am having good luck but I have a big battery mod coming and want the uber vaping experience. Good luck to you.

Mini Cooper where do you get the Vision Vivi Nova mini?
Dunno about Mini Cooper but I get mine at gotvapes.com

It's the only clearo I've found that almost never leaks. I do have to check it and wipe the battery with a tissue if it's been sitting or standing a really long time on a hot day. You have to keep the wicks wet, and you must not fill them past the fill line.

Even my regular Vivi Nova (non-mini) leaks more than the mini one does.
