You sound like me in the beginning don't worry after awhile on this forum you will learn every thing you need. I smoked 48 yrs. Look at the mah rating of a battery 100mah equals about 1 hour of use. Most cigalikes-thats what we call those stick batteries are less than desirable but much greater in cost. The more it looks like a cig the worse it seems to work.

What you bought is what we call "cigalikes". They have the similar size and appearance of a real cigaretter, but the small size of the battery severely restricts it's usefulness for vaping. They can be a decent (if expensive) way to see if vaping might be an alternative to smoking for you, but they are not a good long term answer if you decide to continue vaping.

To get a decent amount of time on a battery for vaping, you will need to step up to the next larger size of batteries, called the "eGo" class batteries. These are more the size and shape of a large cigar. With these, you can get 6 - 13 hours of use between charges. This is a far more satisfactory vaping setup than the cigalikes. You will have better and more options in the juice attachments that can fit on the batteries, too. Below is a typical eGo battery beginners setup:

When looking at batteries, the "mAh rating" is what can help you determine how long that battery will last between charges. 100 mAh is = to 1 hour's use. A 650 mAh battery should last 6.5 hours. A 1000 mAh battery should last 10 hours. The eGo's are available in a single set voltage or in a variable voltage model. Variable voltage means the heat to the juice device can be modified by the user, and is a preferred but not necessary feature. Brand names play an important role in vape gear. There are a lot of off brand things made in China that can be a waste of money. I suggest buying only genuine Vision or Joytech eGo batteries.

Depends on your price range. I have an iTaste MVP that only needs charging every 3 days that cost me 70 or you could go with an ego style battery that would run you anywhere from 10-50 dollars
This is an excellent alternative to an eGo battery beginner's setup. The battery can last up to 3 days on a charge, and can accept all of the clearomizers as juice attachments. It has variable voltage to adjust the heat delivered to the juice device to change the quality of the vapor and fine tune it to each flavor used. It can also be used as a "pass thru", meaning you can continue to vape on it while it is being recharged. Very durably built and very pocket worthy.

I am a chain smoker, been smoking 50 years YIKES I never added them up! So I bought a starter kit green smoke, but the battery needs recharging all the time... Can someone explain, without all the tech terms, (I am not savvy) what I should buy to get the best bang for my buck?

Thanks

Here is another alternative from V2Cigs. Unlimited power no charge needed. Plugs into a USB port and since I spend so much of my time in front of a computer it works great for me and its only $40 with 3 Clearomizers (Blanks) for easy change out and e-juice refilling. ;)

V2 Power-Cig $24.95

2 EX Blanks (3-Pack) $14.95

I have done v2 stick batts 2 years ago and thank heavens I found a better alternative.

This is NOT a battery... But a cheap never recharge starter setup... I have my Sid and RSST as well but I find myself using this $40.00 set up often and don't have the be dealing with charging batteries all the time.

I started with V2 cig also and if I have known better, I would have bought Ego Twist wright away with Boge or clearomizer. This way, you wont have juice constantly in your mouth like you get with the little V2 cartridge. Two batteries and a charger and you'r on your way for about the same price. I wonder what is the deal to call them "starter kit". They should be called sticker kit.

Actually if you go to the Halo website they have the same thing V2cigs is selling for considerably less.

Halo G6 Batteries $12.99 - V2Cigs Batteries = $19.95 (Same Batteries)
Halo G6 Mini-Tank 3 for $12.00 or $3.99 each - V2Cigs Blanks 3 for $14.95

I still like the V2Cig "power cig" so you don’t have to be constantly charging batteries.

But live and learn...I wish I had just started with

Kamry K100................................... $34.00
18650 2600 mAh............................ $11.00
RSST RBA .................................... $36.00
Villain Vapors Double Down 15ML....... $14.00
.................................................. $95.00
