Yes, a mods ohm meter should be sufficient to get you started, unless you build lower than what the mod will fire, then some mods will give just an error code, or lo, or check atomizer. But you can start the rba journey with what you have. One will find that having a dedicated ohm meter, or atomizer ohm meter, to be a great help when building. They are generally more accurate than mod ohm meters, and measure out the 0.00 instead of 0.0 .

I started with just a regulated and the Russian, when journey down the rba path I did, but have picked up lots of tools along the way.

I just did a quick google search and supposedly the SID does have a resistance reader, but it's only once you fire the device.

Meaning you'd have to screw on your tobh, then press the button for it to give a reading.

An ohm-reader is always a good idea since it measures to the hundreth place and also you don't have to fire your device to get a reading.
