Hmmmm - if it is not allowed in Singapor, a red tip may not be such a bad idea. Ohter than that, I don't like the mini cigs anymore, used to have a Greensmoke but haven't used it in a few weeks since I got my Lavatube. What are the consequences if caught vaping in Singapore?

It is illegal to import or sell here. I believe personal usage should be ok but may have your PV confiscated for further equipment investigations. Also you may be hauled up for questioning on the source of purchase.... tough one here. But we have local suppliers in sgvapers and I am still trying to get my post count and get myself verified to make my first purchase.

I believe the issue in Singapore is that the government hasn't figured out how to tax them and since analogs have huge imposed taxes they just opted to ban them for now.

You hit the nail on the head CaptSteve. I believe the ban will be permanent as they are very sensitive on anything that can be potentially used for abuse.

Rule of Thumb: the more it looks like the real thing, the worse the performance.

I wouldn't get any model that has a tip that glows. That means it's a mini-battery and performance will not that good.

I would suggest you get a Kgo or E-Power. No glowing tip at all and much better performance than whatever you are looking at:

KGO kit1100mAh by SLB

Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - EGO E-Power

wishingwell they're not worried about abuse buddy, analogs can be and have been abused for decades. The problem is they can't tax the e-cigs so if they allow them the government looses money.

Hey, that's a great tip! I have not looked from that angle.
Will check with the local suppliers when I am able.
Just to give you an idea on how strict it is over here, my online order was confiscated and I am just one of many over here.

Oh I mean putting other prohibited substances in the PVs. And yes, I believe that you are right that losing the income from taxes would be their main concerns. I am so envious of you guys who have such easy access. Even after getting my first pv, I will still be concerned on whether the supply of juices might just stop abruptly in the future.

I wonder if anyone else faces such issues in their country?

Sorry to hear that. When there was the threat of a ban over here, my suppliers would send me my vaping suppliers in a mailing pouch that looked like it was from an individual, no company name and on the manifest it said either "toys" or "parts". I don't see how the government can open every package from overseas. If you order on-line again, explain your situation and see if they would do the same thing.

I would definitely try that should local supplies stop. Thanks for the advice.

Yes and the use and possession of banned substances (I can't use other words here on ECF)carry the DEATH penalty. Just like Thailand and Malaysia.

(I edited your spelling mistake) :).

Edit: OK, maybe not Thailand anymore... but severe jail time.

My issue with that is, were your package checked (and yes, they can, and DO *adjusts tin-foil hat*), you OR the company could get busted for smuggling.

They got my grandpa for trying to import a certain brand of Absinthe (NC is VERY strict on the liquor laws-no crossing of state lines without a certain permit, as I understand it, which MAY be wrong, by the way). Package was marked as "Fragile, do not open" and listed as from his cousin. HEFTY fine (he was lucky-no prison time).

If they're that interested in keeping PVs down in Singapore... I would advise against that plan of attack.

Just my two cents.
