Hi everyone,
I've been visiting this forum ever since I started vaping, which was about a month and a half ago. I started off with greensmoke e-cigs, wasn't too thrilled with them or the price, found this site, and decided to try out kr808's and the 510's (since both were recommended as good intro models) with my gs refund money.
I was pretty new to all of this and I decided cartomizers were easier to figure out than carts and atomizers, so I went with 510 and 808 cartomizers. I ordered pre-filled ones and liked them. so then I ordered blank ones and juice, refilling as time went by, cleaning them whenever i thought necessary. It was fun and, best of all, I wasn't smoking analogs anymore.
My lungs felt better and I could breathe deeper (smoking gave me a constricted lung feeling toward the end). I told every smoker I knew how great vaping was and how much easier it made it to stop smoking. I enjoyed how i felt.
But every once in awhile, I'd get that constricted chest feeling and a hanging cough. I didn't really know why. I hadn't smoked or inhaled anything other than vapor. Or so I thought. Turns out a few of my carto's had been burnt on the inside without me realizing it. I was kind of bummed out because I took as many precautions as I could to avoid burning them (keeping them wet, clean...). I realize that they were meant to be thrown away after one use, but that never seemed practical.
Anyway, I know people say they can get months out of their cartos and never have them burn. I thought I could....actually I thought I was. I would've never known that they were burned (i couldn't taste a burned anything) if it weren't for the fact that my lungs were telling me otherwise.
I guess I'll pick up dripping since I don't want to risk burned cartos. Any suggestions for a good atty and device? Maybe one day they'll make a non-burning carto and I can go back.
