Hey everyone, I've been vaping for almost a year now and used these forums as a source when searching information on Google. However, I signed up because I seem to be having some issues with MyVaporStore KR808D-1 batteries that aren't addressed anywhere else. I've had 2 now that work fine for a while, then suddenly start cutting out after 2 seconds of vaping. But, since I gotta do some new members posts before I can get in the appropriate forum, here's my introduction.

I started vaping with the Premium KR808D-1s (or whatever they relabeled them as) and then switched over when I discovered they were charging twice the amount as other stores. Also, when I found out my sister was vaping over Christmas and refilling cartridges, I decided to go that route. I really love the amount of flavors you can get in liquid that aren't available in prefilled carts.

They're manual and the LEDs blink when they stop. Both batteries do the exact same thing, but at least the first one took about 2-3 weeks before it started. The second one lasted less than a week. :(

However, I took the advice most people had on here and looked into Vapor4Life's batteries. Even though I prefer manual, they have auto batteries on sale this week for 50% off and you can add another coupon, so I got it for 65% off! I ordered an XL battery, so hopefully my constant hunt for an 808 that doesn't fail is over.

Should I purchase some V4L cartos or will any 808 cartos suffice? Also, any recommendations on good 808 cartos?

I use V4L for the custom long safety cutoff many of their batteries have - lets you get longer drags than the 5 second cutoff of most other KR8's. I use manuals. Auto batteries are easier to damage/kill with liquid leaks and autos sometimes can turn on automatically from wind or vibration (unscrew the carto to prevent that)

And my fave cartos on them are the V4L WOW cartos (can get hot on the lips so I recommend their black delrin drip tip as a cool mouthpiece) and I like the cartos from Bloogplanet and SmokelessImage (2.6ohm horizontal coil so cooler at the lip end). I pretty much alternate which I use.

And my 2 main juices ended up being V4L WOW juices - good flavor, thin and clear, give good carto life.

I use Smokeless Image blank carto's too and have had great luck with them on my Elite 808. I've been able to refill them 7 or 8 times before I have to toss them. I think my next order will be the mega-cartos from IkenVape.. they've been recommended here and they're bigger and hold more than regular 808 cartos.. would love to know if anyone has tried them?? As for juice,, I love The Vapor Room and Highbrow,, those are my two faves.

qeirstyn, I was just lucky I guess! The Valentine's Day sale was going on and it clearly said that another coupon code could be used.

In the past 2 weeks, I've gotten V4L battery and love it, even though it's automatic. It seems to work better than any other KR808D-1 battery. The diamond on the end rattles a bit, but it seems cosmetic and causes no problem in vapor production.

Also, I've gotten my RMA replacement for the manual battery from MyVaporStore. At first, it was working fine, but already in a week, it's starting to go bad. Barely any vapor production and fast cut-off times. MVS has the best prices on batteries, but this quality control issue makes coughing up the extra dough for a V4L worth it.
