This forum is awesome. I hope the NYC forum rocks too. I'm new to vaping. I first quit a pack a day Marlboro habit in the 90s but every few years I'd buy a pack of AS and be disgusted after a couple of weeks and stop again. But this winter I did that and found I couldn't just walk away. I was only smoking about 6 a day but I felt gross anyway. I started out with Blu but got an ego mega t after reading around this site. I've been trying some liquids and trying some liquids and .... Anyway, I live on the UWS, work in Hells Kitchen and Chelsea so I'm usually on the west side. I don't see any other vapers but I've turned on some random people who walk up to me intrigued. Hope to hear about some local events, especially something where we can sample liquids. Ever the search for the all day vape...

Yeah, I checked the head shops down on St. Mark's and no luck there. Thank goodness most of my online orders have had great turnaround with shipping, but it would put my mind at ease knowing there was a place in the city I could hit up in case of an emergency.

NYC Vapers Club is a bit quiet, no? I wonder which online forum NYers are active? Want to know some local events too.
Anyway, there are many 'disposable' seller around my place these days (Astoria) - all are the low quality & high price brand.

For Brooklyn area, I read about Bedform Slims (it's a 510) sold all over the place (and some places in Manhattan). Other than that... no luck.

Welcome Liz! I've been doing OK without a local NYC shop. There is one NY online retailer that I used to use but stopped because they needed to charge NYC tax. Just make sure to stock up on your favorite cartos or whatever is working for you and you should be fine. I been on these forums for a while now and there is a ton of good info on here if you put in the time to research it. But yeah, I only seen 1 NYC random vaper so far...I just think NYers got some serious stealth vaping skills

It's funny how the ecig mall kiosks are not even mentioned as if it's understood that these vendors are irrelevant.
I was a two pack a day smoker; I'm 56 and I started smoking at age 12. Was stuffing my own cigarettes with loose tobacco, a hand crank machine and filter tubes to save money which was, believe me, a messier affair than dealing with eliquid.
Before ecigs, I didn't think it would be possible for me to even cut down on my smoking.
I have not put a cigarette in my mouth since October 2011, and yet some people around me still smoke and the urge simply never occurs to me at this point. Occasionally only a sense of curiosity but not a hunger.

Hello fellow NY vapers...........

I have been vaping for almost 2 months now, and loving it. Here is a link to a vape shop in Queens. This is the only shop that I know of in the NYC area...and I have looked everywhere! I m from Staten Island, and work in the city....but queens is still kinda far from me. Anyways.....they do have liquid and supplies you can get, either order them, or goto their store and look around. I have tried their e juice, and it's pretty good. But as mentioned in another post, you do have to pay NYC tax, which isn't that much...but still it sucks. Here is their website:
