I also no nothing of the diodes but heard they are pretty good, with that said, the last few people that I know, that purchased them have sold them off. Not because they are cheap but I think it had more to do with the menues. The mini p2.5 is great but you just might want the extra power of the 3.0 (which gives you 2 tank sections for both battery sizes) or the radius, which is my favorite just because it's a box. The new new one looks nice but is long, it is only made for an 18650

Yep that's the one, I think it means a double star system. Yes it might be overkill. ..

was looking at that, I'm torn between the 2.5 and the 3, if I'm correct the 2.5 does a maximum of 15w and 3 20w if i wanted to go a little higher i can on the 3. also torn between the the nautilus and the kabuki which uses nautilus coils, i like the nautilus tip wonder if that can be bought separate to fit the kabuki

I think the 3 is beautiful and it has the flat 510 end unlike the 2.5 (unless they changed it) all my 2.5 provari have a tapered top cap which seems dated to me. I would say the 3 is better but that's just my opinion. What top of the nautilus are you referring ? The drip tip? If so that's a basic tip that you can get anywhere and I'm sure the kabuki uses standard drip tips... what about airflow? It may come into play for your decision, I know the nautilus is fairly tight but not sure on the kabuki? Maybe someone else knows if the kabuki has adjustable like the nautilus?

It seems like you are going around in circles a bit.

I wouldn't buy a Dicodes mod, as the shop that sells them is the worst shop in the UK for customer service. If there was any justice in this world, they would have no customers and have gone bust.

Nor would I buy a Provari in the 18650 form, it's just not to my taste. In 18350, maybe.

I will add that turning down a certain mod because it seems 'overkill' is also not really the logic these days. Take a 75 watt box mod, you can still run it at 10w or 15w and not see you are missing out, as these days, we're not really paying for power anymore.

Basically, I wouldn't buy a tube-model Provari. Size matters (for me) and 18350/18500 simply isn't enough battery life.

The Procyon got a frosty on many UK forums. I mean, we all like Provape but they are beginning to take the peas with their marketing... a bit of BS is understandable but some of what they are saying is really starting to grind some gears, big time.

so which mod would you buy?

One thing on the nautilus, my wife vapes the mini and I do her coils and add the juice and it is a real pain to unscrew. Not sure if the full size has the same issue but the mini sticks and many times I have to use a pliers to undo the tank for filling.

i am going in circles, i ideally want the right device nothing too big,
Then, I respectfully suggest you drop the idea of an 18650 battery tube mod.
You can buy all sorts of box mods that are barely higher/taller than an 18650 battery. The mini Cloupor (not that you should buy one) is tiny compared to an 18650 tube.
The eVic mini is average size (fatter) overall but not tall.
If you have the money, but size is the issue, and want to go Provari, get the Radius. At 86mm it's barely 1mm taller than the eVic mini.
Even in the smallest battery configuration (18350), the P3 is taller than the Radius.

If you want the smallest 'rig' I can think of right now (ignoring the 'nugget' mod) a Council of Vapour mini volt with an Eleaf GS tank (the 3ml wide version, not the 'air' tank) is going to make almost everything on the market seem enormous.
You could get the whole thing so cheap as well, it would barely matter if you threw it away in 6 months.
Again, please don't buy it from the infamous UK shop which google will send you to.

Lilco-
I highly recommend getting the 2.5 mini brushed stainless with an extension cap.

Reasons:
1. They work. Everyday.
2. They are cheap right now. Even with paying customs duty, it'll be cheaper than a dicodes. You can one of those next season if you want. You might not get a cheap provari next season.
3. The mini with an extension gives you decent battery life. The mini in mini mode is a fun, pocket friendly vape for the summer shirt pocket. And a provari in 18650 mode (non mini with extension) tips over if a cat even walks near it.
4. You are considering a kabuki or a Naut mini. The 15w Max on the 2.5 is plenty.
5. Brushed stainless doesn't attract fingerprints as much. Also, as you get more attys (you will), brushed is more common than polished. Whatever you do, don't get the gold zenkote. I have to wait til Friday to order one. Don't want them to run out.
6. The 2.5 is proven reliable. The p3, the radius, and almost everything else on the market works pretty well, but the 2.5 is the subject of many a story of being dunked, dropped, and otherwise abused while still working. The OLED screens that are common HATE water. The 2.5's internals do not like water, but have survived wet encounters.
7. This time next year, you'll probably have 2-3 mods and half a dozen toppers. Having a provari in the mix is good "old reliable" even if you find that you have gravitated to boxes and/or higher wattage.

Pull the trigger on it.

I hemmed and hawed for quite a while before getting my first one a year ago. My fifth shipped today.

If the different advice pulling you in different directions is making the head spin consider these two points:

1. Be kind to your future self.
What purchase, in a month, a year, or five years, will make future Lilco say "Thanks past Lilco."? Help future Lilco avoid regret. Be mindful that most regret is for things not done rather than things done. So, in this case, think about what purchase would most regret NOT making a year or two from now.

2. Get the most for the least. Is there, ultimately, THE BEST mod? Maybe. If there is it ain't on sale. But it might be next year when there is a new best. If you can get a deal on a dicodes, a semovar (from Svoemesto), a provari, a sweet Finnish box mod made of stabilized pine cones and dragon scales, jump on it. Worst case scenario is that you got a great deal on something that is almost the best thing in the world. If I could get great deal on a pretty good car, I would buy it without thinking..."there are better cars than this on this Earth".

I also agree about the provari, it will last forever. I seen someone mentioned the mini volt, yes it's a cute little mod and is a nice back up of a back up, but not for your all day everyday mod. I purchased one for those days where you get dressed up and go out to dinner and it's ok . It is not even close to the league of a provari and it will never last as long if you plan on using it all day. Have had it one month and already the 510 connection is wonky.
