All I have now is a regular evod starter kit, and I've been thinking of getting a "Fancy" battery but don't want to spend money only to find out it wasn't worth it. A friend is offering me a "Tesla" I believe its called for $50 which he says is half of what he bought it for, but what is your recommendation. What I want, is a battery that's easy to keep clean, and not a hassle to have in my pocket, nothing that has small pockets that will fill with gunk or juice and cause hits. I should also probably mention I don't use nicotine in my juice, and what I want is as much flavor as possible, I would also need a new tank I believe so, yeah. Solid flavorful hits, whats my best tank and battery options?

I did before posting, but I haven't the foggies clue between Clearomizer, cartomizer, coolamizer all the different terms, and I also know there's some that you build yourself and I am -not- comfortable doing that at all, (Wouldn't have a clue even where to begin) a friend started me with an e-cig for a way of relieving stress, now I kinda feel like I'm in a room full of all these things and not a clue what any of them really are

Do you have a vape shop nearby? I would recommend stopping by one just to see some the different size/shape devices that are available. Then come back and start doing some research. There are literally 100's of options.

Did you see the size of your friend's Tesla? Check out this video: A PBusardo Review - The Tesla

My first upgrade was to an MVP2. It is still a mod I use daily, in fact I have 3 of them. They are a variable voltage/variable wattage device and it's a solid good quality mod. As far as tanks, a good choice is an Aspire Nautilus, lately you can find all kinds of deals on price and it's a top of the line clearomizer. It has a huge tank and airflow control. The flavor is really good in them also. I will post a link for the MVP2, 101 Vape has them for a great price. When I got the link I noticed they had the Nautilus at a great price too, so I'll link it as well.

I'm not very familiar with the Tesla, but the MVP that catmomma linked to is the #1 most recommended next step up from your EVOD kit here on the boards. It's a variable power mod (so you can change and control how strong your vape is), it has a long lasting battery built in, can be used while it's plugged in to charge, and even has a port on it to charge your cell phone if you're away from a plug and your phone is running low. Has all the important safety features, and it's brand new for $40. It's an excellent choice for you.

The size of the tesla doesn't bother me at all, it's the rattling I hear when I shake it and the large open area where you screw the tank in that turns me away from it, it sounds cheap and it also looks like dust, and hair can get into that area and just gunk it up. I actually looked up the lavatube cause it seems like a simple little set up. I like the flat top, but I can't seem to find a full view of it, only one standing up but from what I see it's a simple little set up and doesn't have nooks that can get gunked.. If anyone has any complaints about it, I don't mind the price for it either, 140 for a mod in my color, a flavor, a case and all the fixtures seems awesome.

The MVP II rocks , so i third that recommendation , changed the whole game for me , read the reviews at 101 vape , five star reviews from 700+ people says it all.

Alot of them admit that they love it more than their much more expensive mods , it's also smaller than it looks in pics.

Agree 100% with the MVP2.
Either 101vape Innokin iTaste MVP V2.0 - 101 Vape
Or Vaporbeast has a great price on them right now http://www.vaporbeast.com/innokin-mvp-2-0-full-kit.html?acc=c4ca4238a0b923820dcc509a6f75849b

I have never used the Aspire, but I do like the Kanger Protank2 and 101vape has them at a great price.
I just bought two from them, now I have three and an Aerotank.

+1 all above. I also have a iTaste VV3 (o.k. two of them and two MVPs ;) ) For the price (first VV3 I got at my local B&M; all the others from 101Vape - LOVE LOVE LOVE them, and 101's prices)

I'm extremely amused with my setups. I have a fistful of EVODs, Smok Aro (pyrex - for tank-cracking juices) and a mini PT2.

I don't really like the look of the one you folks keep recommending, it may have great reviews and a lot of people may like it but I just look at it and.. idk I hate it. A friend of mine let me hit theirs and while yeah there was a great flavor to it, it just.. I don't know something didn't sit well with me. Does -anyone- have any clue what that lavatube is like? Love the look of it just.. want to know if anyones used it? Or something similar, I like the cylinder styles.

Full disclosure before I say anything I have an Itaste vv v3 as a daily carry. I use it a lot for work and running around town. But I think it's already been settled you don't like the rectangular, dinky mods.

I don't own a lavatube and never held one but I've seen reviews on it. You mentioned you don't like the battery rattle on the Telsa, so just figured I'd share with you that on some of those reviews the more recent Lavatubes have battery rattle, and the older ones seem a lot better except for the electronics on the new one.

Looks like you're leaning towards a large hefty mod with color options and don't mind paying a little more money. I'd say a buy a Provari and be done with it...lot of color options, but it might be on the small side for your taste. The Sigelei 20W and 30W are variable voltage/wattage, hover around $100,are hefty but a dull gray. Maybe in the future they'll have color options for them. Decisions...decisions...lots of luck on your quest and hope you find what you're looking for.

What you are talking about here is not a "battery" - its a battery holder in a sense. The mod takes replaceable batteries.
So first things first - if you buy a mod that takes replaceable batteries you will need to buy:

1. The mod (e.g. Tesla)
2. IMR batteries - at least two
3. 1 good battery charger - Nitecore, Pila or Xtra Wp2

Personally I don't think $50 is a good deal for a used Tesla. You can buy it new here for $55: Tesla Variable Voltage/Wattage - Black
Tesla's have a good reputation and good features - variable wattage and variable voltage. If you like the look then get one, but you will need batteries and a charger.
Also worth looking at - Vamo - does what a Tesla does but looks different. Can also be used in 2 different sizes - so you can unscrew part of it and pop in a smaller battery for a smaller size device to take out and about. Also $55 new:
VAMO V5 - Stainless Steel
