Yeah it is about as good as i can get it. I also wick rabbit ears style. Rather than just leaving the wick ends resting over the juice holes i'll loosely fill the wells with wick after screwing on the barrel.
I honestly agree with all you have said , you do bring another option for sure on the smaller coil and gauge, especially if the OP cannot vape any higher then 5 watts on the provari. I just have seen soo many struggle with 32g

And yes it's true 32g does require a fair bit of experience, maybe something i over looked. I've built countless coils with it over the last 2 or 3 years.

I do still think 1.3ohm is rather low, the provari doesn't go much lower so really in that respect it is low. And taking into account it will be built with 28g then ramp up time would still be an issue. And the Provari won't go up in volts very high until it displays the E1 error message. All this is what i've experienced since i got my Kayfun and i haven't really used it on anything else apart from my 2.5.

28g doesn't work for me. 32g, 1mm id is great for airflow. A fat 28g 2 - 2.5mm stifles airflow.

Also just like to add that a 1mm coil built of 32g isn't that fragile. It's small diameter makes it quite rigid compared to say 2 for example. The wraps are spread too. It's a pretty neat little assembly.
Maybe the error comes into play when you do have a 1.3 coil and then lower the voltage down to like 3v? Then it's close to the 2.9v cut off? And yes, if the OP is going to prefer 5 watts, then will have to set the wattage that low. So yes , good points because there are just not that many who vape the kayfun that low. I only asked today what wattage the OP vaped and because its soo low, might require a new parameter on what the best build would be with the 28g. But then again, 5 watts might feel too low on the km3 compared to other tanks.

with the subtank mini i was vaping at 13-16watts and on the provari i was using 4-5 watts but been using 5.5 for last 20 mins and and its ok there too. only thing is when i put it to 6watts using the nautilus i get E2
What resistance is the nautilus? It should be quite high, like 1.6 to 1.8?

This may be off base, but the readings on the ProVari mini are in volts only, no wattage. Is it possible those numbers are voltages?

You beat me to it. Has to be volts.
Also was thinking the same, that's funny.. yes 5.5v not watts..... at 6 volts I'm not surprised an error message
i think i also prefer the watt at 5.5, is slightly a better vape

If the Provari says 4.0-5.0 and you are using the 1.8ohm BVC coils, that is about spot on what I would expect.
You can replicate the same sort of power in a Kayfun but you'd need a good wicking set-up to push it towards 12w. I'd imagine you'd find it superior at even 10w, but you're going to need to do some maths to work out the best combination of resistance and volts.
Thanks to @Bronze - just seen this post arrive. :thumb:

The new km3 is a wicking machine. Although i doubt the OP will run it like me, I run mine with 26g, about 1 ohm and vape it upwards of 25 watts. I just do a basic wick job, nothing special at all and run with a 30/70 pg, vg juice and haven't even come close to a dry hit. It really is extremely forgiving . I don't chain vape it or anything and the device never gets warm at all. I honestly cannot feel a change in temperature when vaping compared to it idol.

I had to write back (or type). having vaped the kayfun mini with the provari all day today. i can honestly say that this is the best vape, it is so addictive.
I started with the kanger subtank mini and though yeah this is ok, the tank was a bit of a pain with leaking etc and that it didn't for me an fulfil my cigarette craving it helped but not completely.
when i got the provari i bought a nautilus tank mini and my opinion it is better than the subtank mini in taste and didn't experience no leaking, i will continue to use this tank at home to try new flavours (or when i can't be arsed wicking, coiling) although i can't see that happening with the kayfun mini

Now the kayfun mini one word WOW this is the business i have vaped more today then i ever have and i have to say this tank is AMAZING. If anyone is reading this and is thinking shall i buy or not is it worth the money DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND BUY IT YOU WILL NOT REGRET. The ease of putting it together and the experience of making the coils is so much fun and easier than i expected. Thanks to the people in this thread and my thread i created for the advise because today i can say I'm a happy man.
