Hi, I've been browsing through the site, and I'm looking for something that's as convenient as a cigarette, and pulls like one. I like the vapor effect, and I'd like the throat pull effect. I've seen some stuff about pcc's, but I'm not sure if that's the route most people go or not. I personally don't like the idea of pressing a button for a drag, but if this is the most convenient option, then so be it. Also, it seems the most inconvenient issue is refilling cartridges, and just buying new disposable ones pre-filled seems to be incredibly expensive.

So basically, what I'm looking for is:
Convenience
Long battery life
Easy to carry around
Taste's as similar to a cigarette as possible
Easy to refill (But saving money overrides this one)

I second the eGo suggestion. After reading up on all the great information here, I decided my first e-cig was going to be an eGo and I have to say I'm loving my eGo. The battery life is fantastic, it really does go all day and all night for me, plus I got a second battery so I can always have one charged and ready to swap. Plus, with the shorter (non-usb) battery, it's not super long (I don't care for the pen style and wanted something on the shorter side).

Banjo good advice and I will build on it to provide a little more. The eGo has awesome battery life and while automatic sounds good to you right now you will be better off with a manual batt. This will open up options down the road as you mature into vaping and want to try new things. With an eGo batt don't waste money on a PCC spend it on an extra batt or some atty's since two fully charged eGos should get you through the day. For ease and starting out pick up some balnk cartomizers. For Thoat Hit (TH) go with a Low Resistance (LR) cartomizer (i just checked and Nhaler is out of the blalnk ones but here are the prefilled and you can refill these many times)

NEW Flavored 510 Mega Low Resistance Cartomizers (2 Ohm) 24Mg

I have tried his juices too and they are really good.

You can get cases, I just got my ego and love it. Been using the mega ceramic cartomizers with it they last quite a long time, fill a couple of them up and I'm good for the day. Refilling them you pop the end cap off remove the O ring(both can be done with a paper clip) then you use a syringe to inject the liquid into the 2 holes.

Ok, how does refilling work? Does it save money to refill? How many cartridges should I buy? Where should I buy them from? What would I have to carry around with me on an average day if I smoke about two packs a day?

EDIT: I don't really want to walk around with a syringe to fill cartridges, so I'd need whatever I want for the day handy.

Considering I just bought an EGO (got it yesterday) after trying "mall" type ecigs - I would glance over my post. I go through a lot of your questions.

I am VERY confident that you should buy the EGO to try Ecigs. If that doesn't "do it" for you - then you likely will not like vaping. There are slight differences in flavor, vapor, etc with other models that you "might" prefer down the road - but this is the BEST starting point - in my view.

As far as pressing a button (manual) keep in mind this is simply the type of battery. You can have an EGO with a manual battery and buy an auto one also if you prefer that.

See previuos post I added a link. I vape more than I smoked since I can do it everywhere now! That is why I dopped to 6mg liquid. fill 2 carts for the drive and carry 10 mls of juice to refill during the day. I use the CE-2 also but suggested the ones I linked for ease of use. Pop the cap add about 15 - 20 drops on filler replace cap and vape away.

Joye (the maker of the eGo) makes an official/genuine case for it. I decided to order one from VaporKings (they get their orders out very fast!) and the case is really nice. It's about the size of an eyeglass case (little smaller), and can hold two fully assembled eGo's, two 10 ml bottles of e-liquid, an extra atomizer and three carts.

Ok, well it seems that my best bet is buying blank cartridges and filling them up with ejuice. So, how does this work in reference to the atomizer. Let's say I wanted to buy enough cartridges, ejuice, and atomizers for a year. How many would that be? Where would I get them? How much would it cost?

Keep in mind that you can put juice in either cartridges or cartomizers. The difference is a cartomizer is the atomizer and the cartridge in one piece. I would buy some pre-filled cartomizers in addition to some juice to try both. You can get 5 pre-filled catomizers for like $8.

Also, I bought my EGO from LiteCigUSA as they are on sale for $55 for the starter kit. It is the best price I found. Two complete, etc. like most starter kits. As far as juices and cartomizers, there are a zillion suppliers and they have different types/flavors. I do plan on buying an auto battery for my EGO as i want to try it versus the manual...

I'd buy from a couple different places.. Ego kit and for bulk cartridges, cartomizers, and atomizers eastmall is probably the best bet, your ordering direct from china so the prices are real cheap. since your ordering a bunch of stuff it makes up for the $15 shipping charge. I wouldn't buy the chinese juice though that I would get from places in the U.S.

Ok, so there's this talk of premixed fluid vs mixing yourself. I see that a premixed flavor of eliquid goes for about 9 bucks for 10ml. how long would that last? id probably go with about 18 mg/ml for nicotine strength. is it that much cheaper to mix yourself? or is it better to just buy 10ml bottles? for reference, im a 1.5PAD smoker.
