Hello all!

A question I can't post anywhere else yet:

Those who love Vapor Station as much as I... Are there other vendors comparable to Eric's in flavor? I realize he has it made in India and this has a fair amount to do with it, but the other's I've tried don't even come close. Is it the tobacco absolute? I can't put my finger on what it is that's so good. They're complex, but clean. _I_ don't taste any perfume. "Grown up" is a phrase I've seen in reviews and it's certainly apt. Are there any veterans who love his stuff, but still have a few other juices they adore?

I just put an order in for Backwoods Brew. From the descriptions, I think Don's might be close. Can anyone confirm?

Using an ego with kr808d cartos. Generally vape the lowest mg I can find. So, between 4mg and 6mg I guess.

Thanks!

    Hey There--
I too am a long-time lurker but fairly new poster. I love vapor station, they are a cut above all other juices i have tried (have bought juice from around 10 vendors), I think the tobacco absolute oil does factor in to making their distinctive taste, but also the India-based flavors make them different i am sure, not sure if any other e-juice suppliers use india-based flavors. The only other vendor I buy from now is alien visions e-juice (avejuice---dot---com). If you like vsvapor, you will almost certainly find something to like from Ben at avejuice. Try the Boba's Blend, it is my daily vape along with vs tennessee and tampa.
I would love to hear about the Backwoods Brew after you try it, that is one place I have been meaning to try. It is hard to find good quality juice that tastes good and is not the same old stuff from China.
You should also try a LR low-resistance atomizer for your ego. I have one and it rocks--produces tons of vapor and is great with the vs juices.
Hope this helps and good luck!

Thanks for the recommendation! I'll definitely take a peak around Alien Visions and I'll certainly let you know once I've tried Backwoods Brew. If his juice is anywhere near close in quality to his response time and customer service, it'll be golden.

Cool. I would love a comparison of VSVapor to the backwoods brew varieties, I have heard good things about his product. If you try avejuice, don't use a cartomizer. It is perfect in an atomizer (particularly in a LR atty--it produces the most vapor i have ever seen on an ego), but not great in a cartomizer as it clogs them up very fast--its great the first fill but then only gets progressively more cloggy after that, its because its 100% vg and is thus thicker. I lost a few good cartomizers that way. Do you have an adapter for your ego that allows you to use a kr-808d cartomizer? Is it a kr808d-1 or kr808d-2? I started with Green Smoke and I think they are one of those numbers, but I am not sure--I would love to use all those supplies up. I will check back to see your reviews of Backwoods Brew.

Has anyone tries juices from tastyvapor? I just bought a heap from there as I heard good things about them.

Yep, (3) 4oz. doublers so far. Excellent prices, service and products. I've ordered juice from several suppliers in the last 6 months - TV will most likely be the only place I order juice from in the future.

I realize some juices are better with an atty, but, right now, I just don't have any desire to delve into the world of attys. I'm really enjoying the ease and relative longevity of cartos. I do have an adapter for my ego. I use the kr808d1 cool cartos from V4L. I really like them. I didn't particularly like the 510 cartos I've tried. I started with Green Smoke as well and have to say, regardless of the ridiculous prices and crap batteries, when the cartos were good, they were incredible. From my research, I found that the Green Smoke cartos aren't kr808d 1 or 2. It's something else entirely. I'm not sure if you can find adapters or not.

    Onto Backwoods:

I received my shipment incredibly quickly and so had the weekend to try all the flavors. I ordered (all at super low nic):

    Backwoods Honey Flue
    Backwoods Applewood Tobacco
    Backwoods Maple Tobacco
    Backwoods Malty Toffee
    Blueberry
    Dulce De Leche
    Vanilla Cola

All of the tobacco flavors are truly the only juices I've tried that actually taste like tobacco. They're multi layered and fairly intense. These will be 'go to' juices when I'm craving a real cigarette. This doesn't happen all that often anymore and generally only when I'm drinking, but these are where I'll head. The sweetness of these is where the subtleness comes in that I've read so much about. If you like real tobacco flavors, these are choice. Even at 6mg nic the TH is pretty intense. I find I don't need a strong TH, but definitely want to know I'm inhaling something. Don's are far more intense at 6mg than Eric's at VS. The vapor is nuts.

The Malty Toffee is awesome. It's very similar to Vapor Station's VS4, which I love. It's a bit sweeter, but nice. Not at all sickly sweet. Same TH and Vapor as the tobacco flavors.

The blueberry is interesting. It has a floral undertone that's kinda exotic. This is my first blueberry, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I do like it. Same TH and Vapor as the others.

The Dulce De Leche is similar to the Malty Toffee, but lighter. I enjoyed this, but definitely prefer Malty Toffee. Same TH and Vapor as the others.

The Vanilla Cola tastes like a high quality ginger ale. I really like this one. Same TH and Vapor as the others.

As far as comparing Backwoods and VS, for me, VS comes out on top. Maybe it's the tobacco absolute Eric uses in his juices or the flavors from India or both. Whatever it is, he has me hooked. The only other juices I've tried have been V4L's and DIYFlavorShack. Both are odd and perfumey and I just can't stand them. Are they dekang? Is that what I can't stand? I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what to try next. VS is incredible, but I like variety and he doesn't quite have a large enough selection to keep me completely satisfied. Backwoods Brew does and Don's impressed me enough with the juices I ordered, that I'll definitely go back and sample more. As of right now, the only one I'll reorder is Malty Toffee. Of course, that could change in a week.

Also, on a customer service note, Don at Backwoods is great. Very personable and extremely quick to respond. I actually requested a sweet hibiscus vape and he seemed very open to the possibilities. I even sent him a recipe and information on hibiscus tea and he said he'd pick some up to try.

If Alien Visions is too thick for cartos, is there another vendor you can recommend? Anyone? Which top vendors don't use Dekang? So many questions!

Anyway, I hope my review helps.

    Best
