Hi, my Tornado tank arrived mid morning and I am thrilled to say that I have now survived 9 hours with vaping and NO cigarettes! I have 3 completely idiotic questions to ask but can't seem to find the answer in the User Manual.

1. How do you know when the battery should be recharged? (the thought of being without this is already a nightmare)!

2. How do you know when the cartridge needs replacing?

3. Sometimes when inhaling, the connection between the battery & the atomiser makes a crackling sound (a bit like kindling when it first takes). Is this usual?

Sorry for being so dizzy and asking probably really stupid questions but would appreciate any help you can offer - thank you!

Welcome to ECF , and no worries , we all had the same questions when we started . The battery will finally just stop working , or you will notice less and less flavor and vapor production . As for the carto . When it starts tasting dry and harsh ( it probably is ) add more juice . And the crackling sound you hear is normal . It's just the juice being heated up by the coil . You really tend to hear it , with a dual coil device . So all that being said , your good . If fact your extra good , cause you stopped with the stinky's . Good for you .

first and foremost, welcome to ECF!

secondly, answers:

1. it depends on the size of your battery...but generally you will notice a drop in performance as the day goes on since the battery will be discharging...generally speaking though, a 1000 mAh battery should last you all day

2. if you start getting dry hits or smell/taste burning cotton then...well you need a new carto....generally you should be able to pop the end cap off and see how moist the wick inside is

3. this is perfectly normal....this means the device is working as intended

Just thought of this after posting my first reply . I hope you have at least two batteries . One to use while the other is charging . If not , go order one right now . same goes for carto's and juice . If you don't have extra's , you could find yourself , vapeless ( not a good place to be ) But fixable . Good Luck

Hi & welcome! Being new myself, I don't have really great answers to your questions, but I wanted to say congratulations to you! Way to go!

My setup is not like yours (no tanks as of yet for me), but for myself I know a battery needs recharged when vapor production decreases & the draw seems to take a lot of effort.

I refill my cartomizers when they start to lose flavor and/or taste a little strange (although I try to stay just one puff shy of a "burnt" taste as I've heard others say it's possible to have gone too far by that point).

I also get the crackling sound from time to time & from what I've read it's something about juice hitting the atomizer & it's no big deal.

Sorry for my dizzy answers to questions that are absolutely not dizzy - they're good questions & I'll be reading the responses right along with you.

Congrats again!!

Welcome to ECF and congrats on your decision to give e cigs a try ;)

I do hope you have more than one battery, and a supply of cartridges. Not being familiar with your equipment I am at a loss to say more.

You do not want to run out of battery charge or juice in those cartridges. Depending on what you have, you may be able to refill them from a bottle of juice.

Hi guys - thank you so much for all the posts above. I've had tremendous difficulty logging back in (not very techno)! 6 days now without the smellies but found myself vaping more in the last 2 days than I did the first 4 but think it's a mentality thing! I do have 2 batteries & 2 atomisers and must say I have been very impressed with the speedy delivery of both my initial kit and the e-liquid. Found the tobacco taste too strong so wanted to mix tobacco with non flavour but they'd sold out of the latter so currently using lower strength nicotine tobacco flavour which seems to be working for me - whoop whoop, hooray! Just one thing - my atomiser gets very hot - is this usual or am I using it too much? Soz to be such a numpty!

& yes "Tainted Halo" my button thingy flashes when my battery is running low - as for the cartridge, I just kind of notice that I'm not really getting a hit, I also get some condensation and if I tip it upside down I can't see any liquid so have been taking that as my notice to put in a new cartridge. THIS PRODUCT IS WITHOUT DOUBT the best thing I've ever tried in my battle against the smellies. Haven't NEEDED a smellie, just mentally WANTED one from time to time, if that makes sense. It was my brother's friend who initially bought this product, told him about it and I was ready to try anything. I'm the heaviest smoker my brother knows and he's gonna get one now as he can't believe I've gone this far!

Thanks Stosh, what do you mean re rinse - I rinse my cartridges but not my atomiser - should I be cleaning that too? If so, how as in really just rinsing the whole thing in water or what? Again, soz for being such a numpty (& "johnnypanic" a numpty is a silly idiot)!

Sorry -- bad joke -- check your shampoo bottle...
Meant to just keep switching them if they get hot, topping them off and vape-on...:vapor:

Sorry to be such a right royal pain in the proverbial BUT another question - this time about the forum....
It took me ages to find my way back here again (went through my initial email acceptance link thingy) - is there any way I can get notifications when a thread I've started/commented on has a new post?
Sorry again for writing so much in 1 night but trying to get it all out in 1 got before I lose the link again!!!!

Thank you Stosh!! I have bookmarked the page and hope I will be able to log back in really easily in future too as I have found this soooooo encouraging tonight. Huge thanks to all of you who have posted on this thread, I really do appreciate it - don't always understand the terminology but I'm sure I'll get there in the end and great to know there's such a wonderful support network out there and that I'm NOT the only one battling the demon of the stinkies! Thank you everyone & with that, I'm off to bed! x
